No Topic Needed In This Thread - Topic-Free Zone
There was a good suggestion for an "off topic" topic, where the Admin won't gripe at you for ignoring the subject!
And so, drum roll please, the moment we have been waiting for has finally arrived! In this thread, and this thread only, it matters not what the subject is, nor if there was a subject in the first place. So, what's new with you?

I really love warm weather so I be outside and experience all those good feelings of nature in a natural state but as cold as it gets here in Nebraska I like the winter for the slow down and the chance to read and catch up with my learning desires without the call of the outdoors. Gospel

For the Holidays, I'd like to ask everyone to remember the men in Iraq, and the job they are doing in protecting American interests in an increasingly complex and thankless situation.
It is hard just keeping a lid on, protecting, when the lives of so many children, women and men are at stake, and so many fanatics want to kill each other.

You're right. And we do thank them all for their service!!
Regardless of how you feel about the war effort, you gotta love and appreciate our brave boys and girls. My son-in-law is in Fallujah right now.
Merry Christmas, Chris.
And Merry Christmas, Happy Channuka and Happy any other celebration to everybody over there. Come home safe!

Randy,
I recently saw a touring production of 'Les Miserables', and I still haven't quite gotten over a scene near the end when the aging Jean Valjean, watching the young men of France marching into the firestorm of the revolution, sings "Bring Him Hme". The title of the song says it all. It left me in a puddle.
There's a sad and simultaneously uplifting story out of Fallujah lately that people should read. http://www.boston.com/news/world/middleeast/articles/2006/12/04/saving_baby_mariam/
God bless us every one ... no exceptions.

That story, which I read, reminds me of several incidents that happened around the 11th Armored Cavalry in Viet Nam. The grunts on the ground do not seek, and seldom get, the deserved credit for their actions.
It is sad how much could be negated by a withdrawal before stabilization. I find parts of this very ironic and Orwellian. EVERBODY seems to agree that if we abandoned Iraq, the killing would greatly intensify, and that many children, women and men, perhaps two million, would die.
Yet knowing of this incipient holocaust, somehow, the people willing to spark it thru a quick withdrawal still try to pretend that they are "pro-peace." Now THERE is true hypocritical moralizing.

"The grunts on the ground do not seek, and seldom get, the deserved credit for their actions." To this is say: I am very disappointed with the way Viet Nam Vets were and have been forsaken. They did their duty too, no matter how they felt and have not been properly appreciated.
I think we should follow through. Finish the job. I don't think Iraq can stand alone untill they can unify themselves and govern themselves fairly. We have responisbility to help them now.

Changing gears for just a moment, I had a thought about this forum.
I think it has been too long since the folks running this forum have been acknowledged for the great job they do.
When I joined just a few years ago, there were 2 or 3 thousand members. Pretty huge then, I thought. But as of this writing the forum has grown to 11,314 members. This has got to be the largest forum of it’s kind in the world. And yet, there is nothing pornographic about it. It isn’t allowed. Of course, a few characters try to get in from time to time, but they are sunk quickly.
The way Admin and the Moderators keep it clean is heroic and nothing short of amazing to me. Reasonable people who visit here and witness the friendly, intelligent, sometimes serious, sometimes light hearted discussion should plainly see that we aren’t a group of sex crazed freaks, just good people who enjoy the pleasure of harmless nudity.

Thank you, Randy and Tuffers, for your kind words.
Without the great people here this forum would be nothing.
Because of all your insightful and helpful contributions here, on-topic and spam free, and the efforts of our untiring Moderator, the forum is viewed by a total of 3 million visitors a year, and showcased by Google Video.
That has to help the nudist cause.
Best Wishes to all, and Happy Holidays!

I've created a new homepage on www.picturetrail.com, which deals with another aspect of my personality. My artwork. It's a work in progress, and I hope to be adding much to it as time goes on.
I invite you to have a look and tell me what you think. I hope you find it enjoyable. You'll find it here: http://www.picturetrail.com/homepage/up4funtoo
