Posted - 04/27/2008 : 2:59:09 PM The 2nd annual Travelites' Pioneer Days was another fun times. Friends started arriving by 2:30 as the weather brightened up and enjoyed the sun and shade.
There were a great variety of snacks including chicken salad stuffed celery, liver pate', pepperoni&cheese tray plus the usual garlic/spinach dip. We ate our ice cream in a variety of ways including root beer floats, sundaes, ice cream sodas, or straight. The sirloin "bison burgers" were deliciously grilled with either Swiss or American cheese or even nude; sliced tomatoes, sweet onions, grilled onions, and all the expected condiments were available as well as baked beans and homemade french fries.
The hot tub was frequently used during the event. Paul remains champion of the Boulder Toss. It was another fantastic gathering. ================= The next event is the World Naked Gardening day and Mexican Fiesta on May 3rd (Saturday) at my property. It is also the day the auction begins. You can see the events and their updates online at http://pages.prodigy.net/travelites/_wsn/page7.html as well as below. In past years, members donated a variety of services and products including homemade baked goods, catered dinners, houseplants, and bottles of wine to name a few. Let me know if you can add anything to this listing. This auction enables Travelites to donate funds to the AANR Education Foundation, Naturist Action Committee, American Nudist Research Library, and Sistercare, a charity for abused women and their children. =========== May 17th is our Kids Games for Adults day at Paul & Terry's in Camden. They have a brand new hot tub and pool and have invited us to enjoy their home. Everyone is still responsible for bringing their own beverages and snacks to share, and they will supply the main course of grilled delights including hamburgers, hot dogs, and k-bobs. They suggested we have banana splits for dessert. We need a few to bring some a few ripe bananas, toppings, etc. When you let me know you'll be joining us, I will email you the directions. The event starts @ 4pm with the pot luck @ 6:30. We don't email out the directions ahead of time so we know how many to plan for. ============ Memorial Day weekend we'll be visiting Carolina Foothills. May 24-26 this year are the dates. Several have already made their reservations, and I'm not sure if there are any available rental facilities, but if you can always make day visits or tent. Their hospitality is always so wonderful. Please let me know if you'll be joining us there. =================== May 31st is our clothed day to get together and invite those you might know to socialize with us and to view TNS's "Experience the Freedom" that TNS has allowed us to make a DVD from their video. We are also hoping to recieve AANR's "Welcome to Our World." We will start this event at 4pm and have a potluck supper @ 6:30. After dinner those who decide to stay will be able to enjoy our hot tub au naturale and spend the rest of the evening in comfort. ============================ Remember, you can always see the calendar of events as well as event reports at - = Item # *...ITEM.................... **Current High Bid** 1. ** Carolina Foothills Resort, 2 days/nights camping and grounds fees...$5
