About a year ago we were contacted about talent for a reality travel show for nudist destinations. We have a nudist actor friend who auditioned and thought he had a shot at getting the gig. When it got down to it, he said the production company wants a host couple for the show that were, as he put it, boffing. Decided it wasn't the kind of nudist related show he was interested in. Never heard anything more about it.

That is an awesome story. I wish the media would do a lot more of those. How about a travel show for nudists reviewing nudist resorts? I love the travel shows on the travel channel and AWE. |

"Oh my gawd it's a nipple!" haha. Several years ago I had hopes when the FCC was allowing certain medical programs were allowed to show nudity and when they approved an uncensored airing of Schindler's List which included a few scenes of nudity. What's obscene is the FCC will allow on TV levels of violence that at one time was reserved for rated R movies but even casual non-sexual nudity is still taboo. Even when basic cable programs do a documentary that involves nudity as the subject (nudist, nude protest, medical programs, etc), they're not allowed to show the nudity unedited. |

it always amazes me on how hung up people are over breast and nipples, go to a beach and see men who have breast twice the size of some women but they can go bare. i guess what bothers me most if it's hollywood it's ok but if your not tinsel town it's not acceptable. |

Would anyone have downloaded a copy of this Turner South interview with Cheri that they could post....or email to me? I'd like to see if, but the Turner site gives a "page not found" message...and won't go to either the "Nudist Colony" or the "Members of the Nudist Society" pages.

Very nice job there, Cheri! Good sound bites with information and facts.
Watching these interviews brings back memories of the media training courses offered by AANR. It's nice to have a reporter not looking for that controversial angle!
How many folks here could spout off nice sound bites like Cheri has for this interview? If the camera was rolling, your sea shells were in place, and the interviewer was tossing questions at you, could you remember some important and pleasant things you wanted to say? It's not easy, and requires good preparation. Again, well done!  |
