Posted - 01/23/2006 : 11:07:10 AM Hi. After i finally found a place where i could get it done and got a kinda bikini wax done (only around the genitals, not on them, the woman who did it didn't want to do it for fear of tearing the skin which was emphasized when she got a bit of scrotum hair by accident...), and having to yet once again shave the scrotum and a bit of the penis (something i hate because of the itching the next day, and even the same day if i don't do it well, and because of the not-as-smooth-as-waxing feeling), i started looking on the net on information about waxing the genitals themselves. So far, what i've found is lots of "not recommended" and "we don't do it here", except for this page: http://www.montrealmirror.com/ARCHIVES/2004/061004/hsg2.html According to one woman in the article, she believes it's a matter of technique and being careful, so it's a skill to be gotten.
Given how long it took me to find somebody in this city who wouldn't look at me like i'm some kind of pervert when i ask them about it, and actually do it instead, finding one with the necessary skill sounds like mission impossible.
So, what do you people think about this? what do you people do? is there an alternative apart from the incredibly expensive laser treatments, preferably something i can do at home? how about you girls, i bet the inner labia it's about the same as the scrotum in this respect, what do you gals do in that case, shaving too? It's a bit dissapointing to get the procedure and endure it (to the point that the woman told me that my resistance is admirable compared with other clients, even other guys), yet still feel like it was incomplete and that i'm forced back into the annoying shaving and consequent itching and not-so-smooth feeling...

Posted - 03/19/2017 : 12:36:18 PM they can wax just about ANYTHING inc your scrotum or your butt crack and I have had them both done. LOVE the look and feeling of being slick but keep a very manscaped "V" bush pattern --be sure you see a person well trained inn waxing men. and sometimes youneed to help them by stretching out your scrotal skin as they work. Makes it easier for them and for you.

Posted - 03/09/2014 : 10:15:41 AM Hi Mark and bgdude1, I've been doing the laser for quite some time with great results, going once every 4-6 months. Only last week I did the Full Brazilian, including ALL. I'm excited to see how long it will last. I don't like either shaving or waxing. what's your frequency of genital laser sessions?

Posted - 10/19/2013 : 10:42:53 AM Mark, I did the Laser thing about 6 years ago. I believe that I had 6 sessions. Each successive session increased the power of the Laser. I have a high tolerance to pain, but the final 2 sessions I had to have a mild local anesthetic applied to the genital area. The Laser did not remove 100% of the hair, especially in the scrotum area due to the darker skin. Maybe if I had 10 sessions it would have been better. There is less hair, but I still have to have the waxing session ever 4-6 weeks. Less hair equals less pain.
Now to get off the subject. Laser, Radar and Radio are acronyms (look them up). It has become the acceptable spelling instead of LASAR, RADAR and RADIO. And we the older generation make fun of LOL, OMG, IMO, etc.

Posted - 10/18/2013 : 11:43:32 PM I just joined the smooth club. I had my first of 6 to 10 laser hair removal treatments (paid for 6 and will get 4 more free if needed to achieve the desired results).
I tried shaving and waxing. Shaving left me with infected follicles and waxing simply hurt too much and left me bruised.
I can hardly wait to be bare once again.

Posted - 03/26/2013 : 8:07:11 PM I get a full body waxing (including genital area) about every 4 to 6 weeks. I have been doing this for over 8 years without any side effects. I have had trouble in the past finding a salon that will perform the procedure on a male. I have had to move several times because the operator would leave and no operator would perform on a male. I have found a place near my house that does it and they have several operators that will work on me. Some operators have left and others have started and we continue without any problems. We are normally in a room with a sign on the door that states that a massage is in process, not to disturb. Sometimes someone tries to open the door, but it is usually locked so nothing happens.
I got waxed today and as the operator was setting everything up she mistakenly unplugged the light so we were in the dark. As she was trying to find the socket I got up and unlocked the door and cracked it a little to let some light into the room. She plugged the lamp back in and I closed the door and intentionally did not lock the door. Sure enough about halfway through the process someone opened the door without knocking or anything. I was lying on my back fully naked. I could not see who was in the doorway, but they closed the door pretty quickly. I thought that it was funny and that it embarrassed the person. I told the operator that it did not bother me and that I thought that it was funny. She could not figure out how the door got unlocked and I told that I did not lock it after the lights went out. She knows who it was that opened the door and figures that maybe she will learn her lesson not to just open doors without knocking. If I get the chance I will leave the door unlocked again. I have done it in the past, but no one came to the door on those days.

Posted - 04/14/2012 : 09:39:16 AM I fully oppose guys being waxed as well as women, I think the trend should change from shaved being no longer the in thing to do, go back to natural pubic hair you know when we looked like grown ups down there... :) |

Posted - 04/08/2012 : 3:40:53 PM Leo,
If you just want the pubic hair that would show if you were wearing a bikini or thong then you ask for a "Bikini Wax" If you want everything done then you ask for a "Brazilian Wax". This sometimes includes the scrotum. In between you might ask for a "Landing Strip" which leaves a little hair just above the penis and could or could not include the scrotum. Variations on the landing strip are hearts shapes and anything else that you might think of.

Posted - 03/27/2012 : 12:25:03 PM Hi
Can anyone tell me, please, what to ask for in English? In French, I'd ask for a "maillot", or swimsuit. That's the word for men and for women. But, in English, do men talk of a "bikini" waxing, like the women?

Posted - 12/19/2009 : 07:39:39 AM I've been getting genital waxing, what's now referred to as Brasilian, for some years. I wouldn't go back to shaving unless absolutely impossible to find wax or sugar!

Posted - 10/12/2009 : 3:40:14 PM Ok, I see this is an old thread, but I've been sugared; usually before a Bare Necessities cruise. The Sugar Shack close to me, does a men's Brazilian for $55. The rest of the time, I shave. I think it hurts the most in the pubic region....but my asthetician rolls the sugar on, rips it off, then puts her hand over the area for a bit, and the pain goes away. I've had six of them so far, and if it was that much pain, I wouldn't go back. I just find that the hairs grow back too soon after having it done, so I usually just shave. And also, while sugaring my scrotum, she did draw some blood, but it stops. ;)

Posted - 07/20/2009 : 3:35:32 PM I started off shaving and got tired of the constant maintenance. I found a salon that would do the waxing, so I started waxing the pubic area, excluding the scrotum. The personnel in the salon changed and I was told that I was allergic to the wax and they would not do me. What a cop out, instead of saying that they do not do male pubic area.
I found a new salon and the aesthetician told me that she could do the scrotum with a sugar wax. This was fine for years, but the pain and discomfort seemed too much so I saved my pennies and opted for the LASER.
I got the pubic, scrotum, anal and inter thigh areas done. I am somewhat pleased with the out come. If you decide to have this done I would recommend that you not go to the expense of having the scrotum done. The LASER technician/sales staff will tell you that the LASER has a problem with light hair (blonde or gray) and dark skin. I do not have dark skin, but the scrotum is darker than the rest of me, even with a tan. If you have been tanning then you need to wait until the tan is lighter. I started the treatment in October, so by the time that I was finished with the 6 treatments (1 month apart), I was pretty light tan. My disappointment is that the scrotum stills needs to be waxed more that I would think it should.
Back to the waxing – I have had the sugar wax and the hot wax on the scrotum and I like the hot wax better. I fell that there is less pain. With the sugar there is a slight pain when being applied and more pain when being removed. The hot wax only has the pain while being removed. I now wax everything from the neck to the toes, excluding the arms and arm pits.
Back to the salon – they now have 4 aestheticians on staff that perform male pubic waxing. When I started there was only one. I guess that it is becoming more popular. I have been waxed by each of the 4 aesthetician and there is a difference in techniques. I have one that is my favorite and if I can I try to make an appointment with her. Making an appointment is very important. If you just show up you could have a couple of problems.
First – if the aesthetician is busy or not in that day you will have to wait or come back. Second – they do not keep the wax hot from sun up to sun down, so you will have wait for the wax to get hot (~30 minutes). Third – respect. Do you think that the aesthetician are just sitting around waiting for you to come see them.

Posted - 07/18/2009 : 10:30:15 PM I have tried various methods for around the genital area including shaving waxing and depilatory cream I must say waxing gave the best results with a technitian who knows what they are doing and who takes their time the process is tolerable and the results are the best
Good luck infinding the right technician
