Posted - 05/14/2006 : 5:21:37 PM I have been shaving for over a year and just got my wife to join me. But it takes a lot of time. I have heard that plucking out the hairs with a pair of tweezers will permanently remove the hair, as long as you get the follicle. Does anyone have anymore information on this? |

Posted - 03/19/2017 : 12:54:36 PM ELECTROLYSIS on my balls is all that was working--laser just did some thinning out....Because of genital jewelry I didn't want to have to put it back in after removal for waxing.. Almost all major cities now have salons that will groom or laser men...There is a market for it and operators have realized that. It is more expensive for men (more hair?) Bazillions for men where I go are $55 and for females only $35 THey will price separate areas like just arm pits. just butt crack etc--- both at my waxing salon and the medical office where I went for laser treatments....however all techs (female0 do NOT work on men-- just some of them and they tell me that men are bigger tippers !

I'm going to try that one, Bob. That is a routine I could stick to.

Posted - 11/07/2010 : 1:16:39 PM Does any one have any experiance with the home electrolyses roller sold lately in catalogues these days? Cost around $100, pricy but if it works might be worth it! Michael |

Hahahaha. Well, Bob, you could get a patent on your method. I'll keep your methodology secret; it's just between us! Have you told Elmer yet?

Posted - 10/08/2010 : 12:41:18 PM Sorry, it's a 14 piece set, it has guide combs, combs, battery and case. The case will have to be replaced eventually as it is a very cheap, thin plastic pouch. A food storage baggie would probably last longer than it will. It also has a brush and blade oil. I didn't think it was a bad buy.

Posted - 10/07/2010 : 10:34:22 AM I was in Walgreens the other day and I found a Wahl Cordless Mini Pro. It's small, powered by 1 AA battery, the price was right. I figured for now I can us it to trim everything. It sells for about $15, it was on sale for about $10. It comes with a pouch for traveling.

Thanx Bob and Pete, You would think, if they sell this stuff online, it'd be available in-store. Any more it seems like they all get rid of the big selling items and carry stuff that doesn't sell. Every time I go to WalMart for my regular shopping, something's gone. I've almost always had long hair, until my present job, now I shave it. So thin I can't control it short. Now I've got it growing out the ears, nose, my back, everywhere but the top of my head. Right WarmSkin, time can be cruel.
Jimmie,
Got tired of Super-Cuts and combing my hair, so went to Wal-Mart.com and bought a Andis Hair Barbering Kit. Andis is a major professional barber supply manufacturer. It has all the trim guides, a DVD Manual, super 110 VAC cutter, etc. etc. This was all under $30.00 ! Now my hair is less than 1/4" long. You can do it yourself, no need for the lady of the house to be bothered. Yes, I discovered something called "Seasonal" at large outlets. They change isles for Christmas or other holidays, and stuff disappears. But, it pops back again. Not at Costco, stuff just disappears after you find you like it. Jimmie
Jimmie,
SyncVA mentioned the Braun Epilators. Check Wal-Mart.com for the Braun 5270 Silk-Epil X'elle Body System Epilator at $62.77 and the Rechargeable, Wet/Dry Braun SE 7280 Silk-Epil X'pressive Epilator Body System at $129.88. Read the Reviews at Wal-Mart.com. Possibly, the Model 7280, should be price checked at Amazon.com. Wal-Mart Site-to-Store for item pick up, to save shipping. Add Walk In Returns. No return shipping, either. Cheers..and stay Naked ! PeteWhim

Posted - 10/06/2010 : 03:17:28 AM The ideal solution would be to induce male-pattern baldness into areas where you want to shave.
As for me, I like my natural pubic hair, but I don't like "old man" hair that grows on my shoulders and arms. I could go for getting rid of that kind of hair.
I might take some advice I have seen on here.
Life is unfair - hair grows where we don't want it, and does not grow where we do want it.

Posted - 09/30/2010 : 01:29:59 AM Mine is a Braun Silk-Epil I've had for about 6-7 years. It works pretty well. I shave my groin area (ingrown hairs) and pluck my balls with tweezers. (I'm not very hairy, but I like being smooth) |
