Posted - 02/19/2008 : 7:25:01 PM I thought it would be interesting to find out the proportions of various pubic hairstyles that everyone sees at their local nude beach. We live in Australia and at our beach pubic hair removal is fairly common, more so among women. Approximate percentages are: Female - completely smooth: 40% landing strip/triangle only: 40% full bush/minimal trimming: 20% Male - completely smooth 25% minmal hair up top only 25% full bush/minimal trimming 50% It would be interesting to know what the statistics were a few years ago too. We've just started going to our nude beach so couldn't comment but I would expect a general trend towards hairlessness. Mars & Venus |

Posted - 03/19/2017 : 12:50:55 PM At gay gatherings I attend it is a great mixture-- some want FULL hair everywhere...some totally smooth... or a mixture of manscaping on various areas--- DEFINITE though is that even some of the hairiest men have slick balls....

Posted - 03/24/2012 : 07:20:45 AM I would like to see a time that our grooming is done based on comfort choice and not by social views like years ago bush was common and cool now its shaved is common and cool why cant we go to a nude beach and have little of all and its cool and common. |

Posted - 04/15/2010 : 6:04:50 PM Jenn, I know it. I generally post the same thing on EVERY board like this hoping that people will see some members' answers are VERY consistent! I guess not. While it's an interesting topic and one that I enjoy discussing, there are TOO many dang threads out there. As always, if anyone has any questions regarding shaving or waxing, don't hesitate to PM me. I've been a smoothie for YEARS and have lots of experience with several of the methods out there. Have fun, and stay nude! |

Posted - 04/14/2010 : 8:30:11 PM Can't say for the rest of the world, but based on the last Bare Necessities Cruise, we'd say it's 90% hair removed in one form or another. We're both shaved, have been waxed, but find that shaving every day or two is much easier. |

Posted - 04/14/2010 : 6:42:53 PM I was a shaver for years before I started getting waxed a year ago. I love the results, and it looks/feels wonderful. As far as pubic hair is concerned, less is more, and none is the most! However, I must say to each his own when it comes to this. My g/f stays shaved and likes me smooth. It's a real personal preference. |

Posted - 04/14/2010 : 03:38:19 AM Just an update since I started this topic 2 years ago. An absence of any pubic hair seems to be the norm now for both males and females. I'd say that at least half of the men that we see at our beach have no pubic hair whatsoever and around three quarters of the women (with most of the rest having just a thin strip). It's interesting to hear that some women might be hairier than men these days. We're friends with two other nudist couples and, amongst us, the men wax all their pubic hair off because it's what our partners prefer. My wife, however, sometimes leaves a landing strip so can occasionally be hairier than me in that department.

Posted - 02/17/2010 : 09:49:48 AM Hi "Aussie", acrually I don't have so much free time, but I work from home so I do have time to check out this site from time to time.
To answer to your question: regarding the shaved-nonshaved nudists, I'm an observer, not just about this sort of thing, about everything and I have a very good memory. Regarding the sauna, we were talking about this topic and we all compared each other. For the note though, some of us couples are nudists and some are not. |

Posted - 02/17/2010 : 08:25:56 AM Hi everyone from Perth Western Australia.
With the figures that you have given, it is pretty much the same over here. One question thou.!! How long did it take you to put those figures together. You must have plenty of free time. I wish I did.

Posted - 02/17/2010 : 07:02:21 AM I almost forgot to tell you about my latest "pubic hair obeservation". I was me and my gf and 5 other couples (we're mid 20's to early 30's) in the sauna during the Chrismas-weekend and what amazed me the most was that almost all girlfriends had more pubic hair then their partners, this was the "hair-situation":
Couple 1 she: small triangle above, very long hair, shaved labia he: shaved balls, shaved shaft, very short hair above
2 she: bald he: bald
3 she: full "untouched" triangle above; shaved labia he:bald
4 she: full bush allover he: shaved balls, shaved shaft, shorttrimmed hair above
5 she: full bush allover he: bald
6 she: landing strip he: shaved balls, full bush above |

Posted - 02/17/2010 : 06:55:00 AM Hi, I'v just came across this thread & I know that the discussion has faded out a lil' bit during the last year.
I think the numbers that Mars & Venus mentioned earlier in the thread was about the same in Sweden in the beginning of 2008 (maybe less full bush men and more trimmed/bald men),
The latest 1-1 ½ year there has been a trend where many websites/newspapers etc. are saying that the female pubic bush is making a big comeback and I'v noticed that many young swedish/european women (nudist and non-nudist) has started to follow that trend.
As a swedish nudist since a couple of years ago (not so often though beacause of the cold wheather) I must say that I've noticed that many european girls between 20-30 (including many that I know) are getting bigger bushes lately but the older one's 30-50 are still bald/very trimmed.
As for the guys, many in my age 20-30 are totally bald and men betwenen 30-50 also have very little hair.
I would (based on five visits to nude beaches in europe in 2008-2010 + discussions with girls/women and boys/men + observations in locker rooms) say the the current status in Europe is approxemetily the following:
Women 20-30 yrs bald: 20% trimmed: 40% natural: 40%
Women 30-50 yrs bald: 40 % trimmed: 30% natural: 30%
Men 20-30 yrs bald: 50% trimmed: 40% natural: 10%
Men 30-50 bald: 30% trimmed: 50% natural: 20%
What do u say, do you guys from europe agree on the situation in 2009/2010? Are the numbers almost the same in US/Australia etc?

Posted - 02/20/2008 : 5:00:50 PM I just got back from a 10 day vacation. I spent several days visiting resorts in the Tampa area. I think your numbers are close. If anytning I would say 60% of the ladys were smooth. |

Posted - 02/20/2008 : 3:15:41 PM Mars and Venus:
Right now my wife and I are trimmed. Up till a couple of weeks ago we had a "full bush", since we had not shaved or trimmed since last Labor Day.
We are going to let it grow back out, since we both enjoy dyeing and bleaching.
But I know when Memorial Day arrives, we will be "smooth" and we will stay that way until Labor Day.
I might say many of our friends have the natural look, and that is for both young and old, male and female.
Just remember we are not here for a long time, so let's have a good time.

Posted - 02/20/2008 : 2:46:10 PM Y'know ....... I've been attending naturist beaches and events for years - but I've never once thought of counting crotches and grading them on how they are groomed.
