Posted - 06/24/2008 : 11:54:33 AM This morning we completed the major part of the work upgrading the Nudist-Resorts.Org forum to the latest, fastest technology called MS SQL. NRO is again one of the fastest forums on the Net!
Here's where you can help out. Please test all the functions of the forum, and help us find the remaining bugs. We thank you in advance for your trouble typing out the error messages exactly, since some error messages can't be copy-pasted. Be sure to tell us exactly which page you were on, and what you were trying to do when the error occurred.
Send the error data to admin@nudist-resorts.org . We plan to add a donate button to help cover the costs. If you can't wait for the donate button and want to send a check, just email me for the proper information. |

Posted - 06/25/2008 : 9:08:10 PM I wanted to place an ad to see if I can find PT employment at one of Florida's resorts, but when I click either of the "Classified" links, I get this message:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e37'
Invalid object name 'FORUM_ADS_CONTENT'.
/talk/classifieds.asp, line 224
Since I can't place an ad right now, if any resort operators in Florida - the more southern, the better read this, (Hint, hint.)

Posted - 06/25/2008 : 7:30:48 PM At my office, I ALWAYS empty history, cookies, etc. using IE esp. if I visit here during the day. LOL That still happened to me. I don't mind using the New Tab as it allows me to open all the new stuff in one browser window. Cheri

Yeah, that did it. I should have thought of that myself. BTW, for anyone else on Firefox, delete the cookies by going to Tools > Options > Privacy. Click Show Cookies, then search for "nudist" and you'll find all the cookies for this site, which you can then select and remove. |

Posted - 06/25/2008 : 4:24:44 PM For the week or so prior to the upgrade, I had a similar problem as Catbird, only worse. I would get on, and it would say "X number of active topics since your last visit." I'd click that and the new page said "No active topics," so I'd have to click topics since 2 hrs ago, yesterday or whatever to see recent topics.
Happily, that little inconvienence vanished with the upgrade.

Posted - 06/25/2008 : 3:42:09 PM The difference is tremendous -- much quicker.
The one bug that I find is that the "active topics" disappear after one reading of an active topic. It shows number of active topics upon first login. But after reading one thread, the active topics disappear. BTW, that bug existed before your upgrade.

Posted - 06/25/2008 : 1:23:46 PM Deleting the cookies cleared up the bugs ... and the sitenews page is the only other problem I see.
If anyone doesn't know how to delete the cookies in their computer it's easy.
For Microsoft Internet Explorer .... just click on the tools menu .... when it drops down click on Internet Options .... and about the middle of the page that pops up you will find the button that says Delete Cookies .... after clicking that button click Clear History just for good measure.
Thanks for the upgrade it is so much better.

Posted - 06/25/2008 : 11:57:28 AM Excellent. Then you probably still have all your subscriptions set up. Other forums upgrading have reported a loss of subscriptions.
We are currently working on a problem with the sitenews page. |

Posted - 06/25/2008 : 10:12:02 AM There are two things each forum member should do: - Log out, delete your nudist-resorts.org cookies, then log back in.
Reset your subscriptions, they were lost in the upgrade. It looks like you are still receiving your subscription notices.
The active topics and logging in problems both point to old cookies. |

Posted - 06/25/2008 : 09:44:16 AM Admin, This morning logging in from work, I clicked on active topics and when it came up, it said "no active topics". I used my back arrow and opened it in another window in which it said there were 21 active topics. I then open in a different window each so I don't lose them. Cheri

Posted - 06/24/2008 : 3:27:49 PM I know it LOOKS like I've logged in, but I have to log in each time in the Posting Form with each post I make. I am still unable to log into the forum. I assume this is an issue with Firefox 3 as I seem to be able to log in with IE7. I used to use Firefox 3 with no problems before the upgrade today. |

Posted - 06/24/2008 : 3:09:34 PM It's unbelievably quick. I'm almost looking forward to using this on dial-up from home.
