I'd like to know that too. Most of the thousands of spam topics that show up each month get caught in one of the moderated topic areas. You guys don't even see those. The rest usually show up in the Testing Area. It takes me several hours each time to clean them out.
I seriously doubt these spammers are making any money out of it. They just have some really cool spamming software that they run all the time.
And yes, this is a spam free environment. Though sometimes I can see it appears otherwise. |

I'm certain Admin is away from the computer. He's really good about clearing all this stuff up and I know that I sent him an email alerting him of the spam. He'll show up and clean it up. In the mean time ... just wade through it and continue posting when you can.

Call me crazy but someone like 119627078 goes on here & post more than 3 (in this case 46)topics that turns out to be Spam shouldn't that person & all their topics be deleted?
I go on this forum to read & get info but if Spam is allowed to run wild...why bother?

I get all excited when I log in after a couple days and see 50 active topics. My mind reels with the possibilities...is it some new development on erections that we haven't heard? Some new data on penis size that will set the world on edge? Is it some new studies supporting whether to shave or not? Alas, no...it's spam. Maybe next time. I am forever the optimist. |

Oy veh! "46 active topics" waiting when I logged on. Yet another D-bag has gotten past Admin's defenses and dropped another steaming load of extremely low-grade spam on us. What did we do to deserve this? |

I logged on about 10 to 7 am this morn and then immediately emailed Admin. Spam's still up there so I'm guessing he hasn't seen the email or had time to erase it all. Maybe someone from the East Coast also alerted him before I did.

Gaaaah! Another spammer attack today. Is there some point to it, besides vandalism? These days, when you log onto NRO and there are more than 8 or 10 'active topics', you can be pretty sure that some asshat has bombarded the site. I imagine that the propeller-heads in the Snitz Forums community are trying their best to find ways to filter out this rubbish, but the bad guys always seem to worm their way in. A pox on them! |
