I first introduced my fiancee to my naturist lifestyle a couple of years ago and she is now enjoying it with me. We will soon be moving into a new home and with that of course comes the kids.
She has a 15yr old girl who will be living with us full time and we each have 18 yr old daughters who are just getting out on their own and still spend some time at our homes.
We will be installing a pool and hot tub in the back yard and we hope to be naked in the yard as much as possible.
Here's my question, has anyone been in this position of needing to introduce your lifestyle to older children, and what would those of you that have suggest?
We don't care if the girls join us as we feel it's their choice, but, we really want to be able to enjoy being naked as much as possible. |

Another break through! My wife's youngest daughter (19 yrs old now) went nude in the hot tub with her mom last night while I was at work! Up till now she's always thought nude adults was "gross". Looks like her dislike for our lifestyle is relaxing as she matures! #128515; |

A couple of years ago my nephew, who was 15 at the time, asked to join us as a nudist. There was the initial akwardness, and of course being a teenage boy and having nude women around resulted in an erection or two, but we took it in our stride and I had a chat with him about the erections, told him it is natural to have them, that is part of life, and that his aunt and niece don't see it in a sexual way, it is a normal bodily function. It put him at ease a lot and he soon was enjoying his new lifestyle. |

I forgot to say, she is 17 now and told us the other day she hopes her husband one day will also b a nudist, she can't picture herself as having any other lifestyle. We must have been a good influence then, lol. |

My wife also has a daughter and she was about 11 when we got married, we were both nudists by that time. Her biological father had died some previous years before that, we spoke to her about our lifestyle and she said she would not mind trying it. The first time was a bit akward for her, but we told her it is ok, and after a while she got into it and now she is a happy nudist herself.

I knew a single mom in a nudist club I used to belong to, who got her daughter to be a nudist at 14. I asked her how she pulled that one off, and she simply said: "I DARED her to go with me to a nudist resort." |

i wish when i was a kid i would have seen a brochure in my parents room, i would have asked when we were going. when my mother found out in the 80's that my family were nudist she wa first shocked than related that when we lived up north they had several friends that were nudist and they had been invited several times to a nudist camp and to lake michigan but refused, needless to say i was disappointed that they didn't go back than and take me... |

I can only say that when I was a teen I had hoped highly my parents would have asked me to join them at the nude beach or nude resort. I had found a nude resort brochure in their room one day but I never brought it up I just went on my own and researched for local nude beaches. So I ended up going alone and few years later I was sunning nude in the backyard alone when my mom got home from work early and caught me in the nude. For me it was very stressful I feared how she would react, how would she react to seeing me nude etc. I think she said nothing about it due to either she maybe didnt see much or didnt want to be accepting of it. For me I was more fearful of the reaction by them seeing my nudity than me ever seeing them nude. |

I understand you live in a cold climate. Hot tubs are great but, I'm told, swimsuits get pretty cold when you get out. I had a boss who loved his new hot tub but hated the cold wet suit when they got out. He later told me they solved the problem but, not to ask how.

Great news Steady,
Sounds like she has started thinking for herself, and has a couple open minded friends to boot. Guess this is proof she really does accept your life style.

A break through !!!
Tonight after she arrived home from the gym, my stepdaughter came out of her room wrapped in a towel. She turned on the lights for the outdoor hot tub, then went outside removed the lid from the tub and with her back to us dropped the towel and got into the tub naked.
The reason this is surprising to us is that for a couple of years she thought nudity was "gross". Turns out she and a couple of her friends have been using the tub naked and topless for a while now.
Now , we're not expecting to be naked with our kids. We're just glad that she is starting to accept our lifestyle.
She told us that she likes being naked from time to time, just not around lots of people.

Could be also that since eons ago, moms took charge of the home, or cave. Dad was responsible for things beyond the home. Mom set the example at home.
Dad might well have taken pride to take his son on his first hunting trip. Mom was internal, and dad was external. If mom is/was nude, it seemed that is/was the mannerism of the home. If you wanted to hunt, you had to do that the way dad instructed you to do it.
If mom was nude in and around the cave, so were the kids. "Monkey see, monkey do."
I hope that was specific enough to make my point, and generalized enough to escape any criticism of my statements.
