Posted - 03/14/2004 : 4:39:10 PM It was time to do the jig, wear the shamrock, find a pot o' gold, groove with the leprechauns, drink Irish coffee & have fun with Travelites friends celebrating St. Patrick’s day! Legend has it that St. Patrick drove all the snakes straight out of the Emerald Isle!
Sun, fun, relaxation, great food, and good people were the key words for the Travelites' St. Pat's party. Even a member from Beaufort County (south of Charleston) was in attendance at the Columbia area event. In addition to the corned beef & cabbage, we ate sliced garlic'd & peppered new potatoes, garlic toast, and even a green-iced chocolate cake. There were very few leftovers. The suspended swing on the deck was relaxing. Thoughts and comments about warmer days speckled our conversations. Green mini-beer mugs were offered as souvenirs.
********Don't forget to RSVP for the Chili Cook-off to be held in Ridgeway on March 27th. So far in addition to Travelites, members of Cedar Creek will be in attendance.*********
