I am a nudist doing a temporary nursing job in Fairbanks, Alaska. I know there are no resorts here, but possibly a non landed group? Just interested in social nudism.

That could be interesting. Some of the ones I have talked to, would support the idea, just that most ventures up here are some what spendy. |

There are times that our weather sucks, but this summer has been one for the record books! We broke 90 in the area we live in, had the most day of 75 or higher then has been recorded in a long time. I know that might not sounds like much, but when our normal summer temps are high 60's to low 70's it is a big deal for us. Many days, it was too hot to do much!

What's your read of the people in your area regarding clothing optional places or living. Though it may not be a money making venue in AK, if someone had the property and was a naturist and wanted to open said property to nude use by others, how, in your opinion, would that be received in your area.

I just read that WordPress has just bought Tumblr, so an opportunity to post pictures might arise there. WordPress is open-minded, so Tumblr may also return to freedom from censorship.

Most places have their own charm, but Alaska is another place altogether! Words and pictures just do not do it!!! One has to actually be here to feel the impact this place has! Other then some good nude venues, there is more here then one can take in on a few trips!
There are times that our weather sucks, but this summer has been one for the record books! We broke 90 in the area we live in, had the most day of 75 or higher then has been recorded in a long time. I know that might not sounds like much, but when our normal summer temps are high 60's to low 70's it is a big deal for us. Many days, it was too hot to do much!

Alaska was awesome! Already planning our return trip. Probably another cruise. We went at the beginning of the season so our weather wasn't great but the scenery was incredible!

Thanks! For nudists, we're way over packed but have to be ready for temp fluctuations. Naked in the stateroom will be the norm. Naked on the balcony will frequent but length of time will depend on temps! :DDDDD

The furthest south will be to see my sister in Lincoln, then back up through Idaho to visit my wife's sister. Hope to be back home the week of 20 May!

You have a nice trip down here, as well! We're pretty stoked about visiting Alaska. Be great to take a trip up there with a local as a guide but we'll take what we can get for now.

We have a couple of places that are kind of out of the way, that we camp at. We get out the lawn chairs and sit back to enjoy the sun, fresh air and just being nude. While there I can take short hikes and we even get in some target practice.
FP, enjoy your trip! As you are coming North, we will be leaving on April 13 for our bi-annual trip to the 'lower 48'! |

I'd attempt it if we were touring on our own but we will be on guided tours for this trip. I'm always game for trying to be naked everywhere we visit. Probably limited to the balcony of our stateroom this trip! On the other hand, my wife has trouble with being cold so easily nowadays. She'll flash me all the time when she's all bundled up and remind me that she's naked under her clothes but naked in Alaska, I don't think I could get her to do that!
Be fun to start a nudist beach on Glacier Bay! Don't imagine it'll get used that much! :DDDD

We leave for our Alaska Cruise late this month. So looking forward to it and enjoying the first couple of days at sea, sitting naked out on our balcony!
I checked but there are no excursions to nude beaches or resorts on the itinerary! LOL

Wondering if the nudist life style has left Alaska! While there are few venues up here, it also seems that those of us that do enjoy the nudist life style are getting fewer and fewer.
I am looking forward to this coming summer and getting out more. Last year, had some challenges that I hope do not present themselves this year! |

I wonder if anything has changed much up here? Like others have said 'there seems to be few places to enjoy our life style'! I like to get out and do some nude hiking and camping when ever possible. Have some friends that also enjoy the nude life style and spend time with them when possible. I have found a couple places to do some camping but they do seem to be limited. I would like to set up a nude ATV trip, day riding camping and such, but will have to see what the weather does for us. While sunny, warm weather is nice, I also have no problem hiking nude in the rain. Do not have to worry about wet cloths! |
