Is there anywhere close to Philadelphia (by close I mean not 4hrs away). I am ready to get my feet wet since I had some incredible experiences at the shore this summer. I sort of took the plunge with a like minded person and want to give it a try and get my wife involved also (not going to be easy). I would like to spend a day somewhere to with more like minded people, but don't want to use $1000.00 in gas to get there. Are there any private groups or clubs in the area at all? Years ago when I first started looking into nudism, there were tons of places around, but now, there is nothing that I can find nearby. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

I had a great time. Mostly gay men but, the 8 or so women (all under 30) were quite nice looking.

Im totally fine with the public nudity, i just dont want to not know anyone. Either way im going lol ill have my new bike in a couple weeks then ill be all ready :) |

Just me but, who knows. This kind of VERY public nudity isn't for everyone. I have my home mapped on some of my flickr pics. Being a nobody has it's perks.

I'm planning on doing it this year!!
The ride is usually the Sunday of Labor day weekend although, last year it was a week earlier. They had a C/O after party also. Most info is on facebook

Im really looking forward toto the 2013 Phily Naked Bike Ride, I couldn't go to the 2012 so im prepping for the 2013. Is there anyone one here considering going? I would really like to know someone there, rather then feeling awkward being there alone lol |

Hello, I'm new to the nudist/naturalist scene, but I've been looking around this topic for some ideas on where to go. That being said, I'm a little disappointed that there's nothing closer to the Philly area. My ability to travel is limited to wherever public transportation can get me. The main problem I'm seeing so far in the more established places are the prices for membership (referring to Sky Farm and PennSylvan). According to AANR's website, I've looked over most of the possible locations, and many of them are simply too far, or cost too much. Although a little more research is needed as some of the places listed to not have a website.
Gunnison is looking like my best hope for now, although even that is a little bit out of the way. I'm really sad that Phi Nu is long gone, and even the Yahoo Group "Philly Nudes" seems to be missing. I feel like I've simply missed the timing. |

Phi Nu used to hold swims at Berlin NJ until new ownership converted the pool/spa to a 24/7 open format. Phi Nu is barely alive, and I got a very poor response on a house party I sponsored in August 09.
The Yahoo Group website "Philly Nudes" has been ancillary to the group, and some have rallied around swims in Maryland with MARNA. You can find the info at this Yahoo group. |
