Posted - 04/19/2008 : 10:50:50 PM I have always enjoyed nudity. Don't no why But I never been to a nudist resort.and would like to go But i am single and not sure how i would be accepted. I discussed this on cyber nude once and it was funny how many single girls and guys felt the same way. I am straight but girls around my area of Michigan think I am weird because of my views. |

Posted - 01/12/2012 : 7:48:00 PM Some good information on this thread as well http://www.nudist-resorts.org/talk/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=226&whichpage=1
After I relocate, wherever that might be, but hoping VA in the next few months. I plan to explore a little more with the club than just what may be on their web site. If it means a visit with my wife so she can sign a release form (if they have one) stating she is OK with me attending alone or if just telling them that she is OK with it...I'll try it. I am an AANR member with a non-landed club and I think the rules are good for initial screening, but if they get to meet us as a couple, it may make the difference. It doesn't hurt to try. |

Posted - 09/19/2011 : 8:37:10 PM Unfortunately, my problem goes the other way. My working arrangements do not allow me to get away during the week, but my wife enjoys going then. The ridiculous rules of our nearby resorts do not allow marrieds without spouses, so my wife had to lie and join as a single person. How stupid is this? The nudist morality police are at you door in some places. |

Posted - 01/20/2011 : 9:40:36 PM Hey TJ...
Is your wife okay with you going to a nude club or resort without here?
I've found that many married guys join a non landed club first, go with the non landed club to the landed clubs and then the landed clubs allow you to visit on your own...(some do anyway)
Just a thought!

Posted - 01/15/2011 : 11:34:43 AM I'm married, but have gone alone to resorts many times. I think one of the best things to do as a single is to play volleyball, or whatever game is popular at the resort. That way you will naturally interact with others and they will soon see what a great, funny, friendly guy you are. The worse thing you can do is sit off by yourself, look uncomfortable, and stare at every woman that walks by. It's not rocket science.

Posted - 01/14/2011 : 10:59:19 PM Out here in currently-not-so-sunny California, all the nudist resorts I have been to accept single men, and I suspect there are many more across the nation.
I did have the rare opportunity to have a woman acompany me (or was it the other way around?) and I found myself much more readily accepted into some of the social circes. My other experiences as being a single male nudist have put me in a situation of social isolation.
One would think that the women in the Bay Area in California would be more open to nudism, but not so. You have to work hard to find them. The people here have been getting more addicted to clothing than at anytime since before the 1960s. Maybe the baby-boomers' kids are rebeling against their more love-to-be-nude parents.
The trick is finding a woman who is willing to go to a nudist-resort. We single guys need a lot of luck with that.
Also, the smaller the resort, the more likey you'll meet some great folks. The larger one I have been to, was not that friendly.

Posted - 07/17/2010 : 9:18:19 PM My wife recently died very unexpectly, so I no longer have anyone to go with to a resort. Last weekend, I went alone to Cypress Cove for the skinny dipping record. This was my first time to a resort alone. I was well received and made many new friends. I hope you would get the same reception. |

Posted - 07/17/2010 : 4:32:33 PM I think this is one of the things I'm most worried about as well when I think about trying it out for the first time. I'm not interested in going to gawk or anything - I'm more just interested in lying in the shade and relaxing while reading a book, or going for a swim with the feeling of freedom. I'm hoping to keep away from that feeling of self-consciousness as a whole. |

Posted - 05/25/2010 : 8:03:18 PM Jimmie, I wished I could help. Sometimes work is not favorable to our wants. We probably met. I frequent your employment. Since you work nights you could go for the morning time take a nap while you get a tan and just enjoy yourself. Then when done, head back to the grindstone.

Posted - 05/25/2010 : 06:42:00 AM I've been wanting to get to Show Me Acres for a while. They're only a few miles away from me. Problem, ther're only open on weekends, I'm off Monday and Tuesday, not to mention, I'm on the graveyard shift. Talk about "not having a life".quote: Originally posted by PSYCDOGG
I just attended Show Me Acres this past weekend as a single male and was welcomed and felt good to be able to feel that way for my first time at a place for nudists. They were friendly and respectful. That's the kind of attitude one has to have to encounter new experiences.

Married guy here, but wife doesn't approve of nudism. I love to be nude though, but seldom get the opportunity. On the rare times she's out of town with the kids, I lose my clothes as soon as I come in the door. I'd love to be able to visit a club sometime, too, but have heard that men aren't welcomed without a partner (male or female). I'm in Michigan here, too. Any suggestions. (And no, I'm not looking to hook up when my wife is away, just to be able to relax in the buff with like-minded people.)
Wow - same here. New to nudism, and wife doesn't approve either. When she & my daughter are gone, I'm nude. I live just outside Stevensville, and thinking about trying Oval beach. Any suggestions? |
