Posted - 08/21/2003 : 3:44:00 PM In our class we talked about this and apparently everyone has a different opinion about if it's good or bad, but no one is clear on why everyone should listen to them.
I don't see why it would really be better, I think I heard a while ago on the news that there was really no benefit as people had previously thought. All this information is questionable.
Also, from what I understood in most other countries they just don't do that unless there's some very serious problem.
In my opinion it seems wrong to do that to someone, have them grow up then wonder what it may have been like to be the way they were. The next thing they'll think of is removing people's eyelids.crazy.
Oh and I've also heard of female circumcision but I have no idea of what that is.
Just something to think about.

Posted - 01/31/2009 : 5:11:29 PM I have given the whole circumcision idea a lot of thought. I chose to be circumcised when I was around 19 or 20. I have no regrets about that. So then I have been asking myself some questions about it. First, If I had a son would I have him circumcised? No I wouldn't but if he ever had a desire to be I would help him explore the whole idea and then support whatever he decided. I like the idea of allowing each person to decide. I had decided as a young teen that it is what I wanted so when I was old enough to pay for it I had it done. So now, looking back, if I had it to do over again would I have the procedure done now? I am really on the fence on this. I go back and forth. There are in my opinion benefits on both sides of the issue. I am happy as I am but I really don't know which way I'd go if given the option today. Not looking to have any arguments on this, just been on my mind and wanted to write it out.

Posted - 01/26/2009 : 01:58:50 AM I am uncircumcised and actually quite glad about it. My Dad was uncircumcised his brothers were uncircumcised, and my grandfather was uncircumcised. My uncle had his son circumcised at birth, and he has bumps that will remain on his penis for the rest of his life. I don't know what he did with his son. However I feel that anything God gave you is probably useful for something. Just because people find no use for it, is no use to just go and cut it off. The video below is a video that I have told people to watch of an actually circumcision being performed on a young baby. There is commentary, by a women, about why it is not such a good idea to have your son circumcised. I don't know what to think about it, other than that my children will not be circumcised, because I don't believe in the procedure. Watch the below video, in private it is not work-appropriate nor is it child appropriate. The video may also be loud, because the child is screaming in agony in entire time the procedure takes place. But the sentence in itself could be regarded as a CIRCUMLOCUTION, by which you CIRCUMNAVIGATED around the point at issue.

I didn't have one of those procedures when I was a boy, so I took care of that with a wire stripper as a yound adult. Okay, so I didn't do that.
I see it as more of a custom whether religious or purely cultural. What I hear from doctors is that it doesn't benefit one physically to much of any degree. As for religious reasons, I suppose is an expression or demonstration of one's beliefs. In one sense, it is more of an expression of parents' faith than it is for the baby who has no say, but that's not saying the unobvious, so why did I write that?

Posted - 01/24/2009 : 9:59:32 PM maybe Admin could combine some of these threads. I see two topics devoted to penis size and this about circumcision. It's all about the penis. The penis is over rated as a subject in naturism. Just enjoy the sensation of being BARE. |

Posted - 12/03/2008 : 7:23:38 PM I resent you calling me mutilated, especially as I chose to be circumcised. I just feel that implying that all circumcised boys and men are mutilated is a little over the top. I also think that leaving things as god intended is a fine choice. I feel that having opinions is a great option for all of us without sounding so negative as in voicing yours. I would hate for little boys to have to grow up feeling that they are mutilated in some way.

Posted - 12/03/2008 : 12:40:50 AM I am a 60 year old Canadian. It would seem that circumcision was not as popular in Canada as the US. About half of my friends in school were cut and half not. The same seems true on the nude beaches here accept that maybe a higher percentage of younger guys are cut.

Posted - 12/02/2008 : 02:39:32 AM It's not the circumcision that counts, but the man behind it, or the lack of it. It's what he says, does, and thinks that count.
