Posted - 07/20/2007 : 10:19:19 AM I've recently joined AANR and I'm wondering what the benifits are of joining additional nudist/naturist groups other than obviously supporting the 'cause/movement' etc. Do some clubs offer different discounts depending on what group you've joined?

Mike & Karen, Part of TN is in the Midwest region. If you joined directly, you paid too much and a club name is not on your card meaning you'll be scrutinized a little bit more at venues. If you'd like to transfer to a club in the Eastern Region, I'd be happy to help there at no charge to you.
Benefits of also joining TNS - the first obvious one is supporting another organizations that supports nudism/naturism. Other benefits: a great quarterly publication that is nice enough to put on a living room/den table. They also offer scholarships for our youth and have two branches that also assist in our lifestyle: Naturist Action Committee, a nonprofit that alerts about legal issues that affect us. Naturist Education Committee that helps put out the good word. NEC is also a nonprofit. I'll happily facilitate membership there through Travelites if you wish. TNS just organized another outreach program: Naturist Outreach Volunteer Advocate, a marketing & speaking forum.
We have TN members in Travelites. Let me know. Cheri

TNS I think is more about supporting public nudity especially at the beaches, but I also believe there main interest is just selling their magazine, maybe I wrong but thats my opinion..
WRONG - AANR is also supporting beaches. That's why there are AANR sponsored beach cleanups. TNS's magazine does report on clubs and resorts. They are both great organizations, and if you have the funds, belong to both. Cheri
