Are there nudism places in Uruguay?
If you don't find what you are looking for here, see also the forum, "Hey, is there a club or nudist resort in ...?" The question may have already been asked and answered there.
If you have helpful and reliable information to share about nudism places in Uruguay, please add it to this thread by clicking Reply to Topic while logged in.
In Uruguay, it is allowed for women to be naked from the waist up in all beaches. If someone complains to the coast guard, the latter will ask the woman to cover, if she refuses she must abandon the beach. This is only true for beaches with coast guard, in other cases in the absence of competent authority, almost everything is done.

Hi,
La Chihuahua is quite a large beach with beautiful sand about a 1OO km north of Montevideo. It's close from the coastal highway called "Interbalnearia". A few posadas offer rooms and restaurant facilities nearby. The sea is rough, swiming is not safe and the wind is very present. There are not many people but they are friendly. Argentinians like to come.

Actually there is another place, the sirenita beach in Aguas Dulces, Rocha. The place is like a small villege.
Unofficial places are Valizas, and Cabo polonio Beaches.

The only legally naturist beach in Punta del Este, Uruguay is Chihuahua, near Punta Ballena neighborhood.
