I have been checking into nude resorts/parks and have noticed that several of them do not allow genital jewelry. I am new to the community but not the idea of nudity, if that makes any sense. My question is why is there discrimination against genital jewelry? |

If nudism, and nudist resorts, are truly non-sexual then a genital piercing should be no more significant than one in my elbow. |

Bummer.
I found a lovely piece (non-piercing) that isn't too gaudy or too flashy, but decorative nonetheless. Looks like if a particular place forbids them, I'll have to keep it for home only. |

Sticking metal parts into your genitalia or other parts makes me think of the more primitive humanity. I don't say this to put anyone down, because we all have a right to be here and express ourselves.
Piercings are more trendy these days, but in my oh-so-humble opinion , they can look garish, and silly. I guess I cannot see their point. It makes me think that our bodies could be cork boards that were designed for sticking tacks into. My body would warn me against a piercing by means of pain.
I think the untouched body looks far better than having ornaments attached all over it, or makeup. We are not billboards or corkboards, we are humans.

I'm with you Beachcomber, anything that puts a hole in ones Genitalia is not normal to me either. But I can’t believe how the whole piercing culture is moving in to the mainstream now anyway.

larger clubs have no problem with the basic or "normal" type genital piercings.
I'm struggling to understand what a 'Normal' genital piercing is ? ... I'm no prude - been there done that, etc - but the terms 'normal' and 'piercing' don't fit together happily in my lexicon.

What I've found at places forbidding genital jewelry is that women can frequently get away with it while men are instantly asked to remove it. The visibility of men's jewelry makes them subject to removal whereas women can frequently ( not always) not be "inspected". |

I was at a nude hot springs once in Colorado and there was a couple there that were pierced. She had a very large cluit ring while he had a ring on either side of the head of, well you know. It did draw attention but it was mostly a curious conversation type of attention. I don't think I would not do it but she was cool to look at, kind of wierd though. The hot springs did'nt seem to mind it. |

I think that Jenn summed it up pretty well. Some clubs and resorts ban piercings below the neck, while others have no problem with it. My local club, which is one of the larger AANR resorts, has many members with nipple and genital piercings and no one seems to mind. Open sexuality, however, will get a person banned from the club very quickly.

I have been to many, MANY of the clubs and resorts throughout the US in my time and in my opinion, it comes down to the simple fact that: some who run these resorts feel that drawing great attention to ones genitals, in turn "sexualizes" them, which is something resort/club owners want to steer VERY clear of. Usually the rules apply to those with extensive or large piercings or body modifications. Simple rings and such are usually overlooked. Grant it, I am not an expert on every single club in the country, most of the mainstream and/ or larger clubs have no problem with the basic or "normal" type genital piercings.
Also many, although nudists, are still quite conservative in their views, and might pair radical piercings or modifications to "fringe types" that they don't want at the club anyway.
Just my 2 cents anyway---
