Posted - 05/12/2011 : 08:03:38 AM Hi everyone,
I'm currently planning my summer vacation in Bulgaria and I need some help deciding for a place to stay. I'm in search for a nudist friendly, long beach, as I also want to be able to take walks in the nude (this is not possible on the beaches I've been yet). I generally don't mind clothed people around, too, as long as theres a general attitude of openness.
You also need to know that I do like places that are *not* already crowded with tourists but rather "insider tips". Send me a PM if you don't want to post out in the open! :-)
I'm a bit short on money this year (I'm still a student in the last year of my final exam), too, so I'd rather not have to get an expensive rental car. I need places that are reachable by foot or bus. As I have been to Bulgaria some times before, and I've also read on the topic (here, on the forum, too) some options come to my mind (*been there before):
-> Sozopol, south of new town beach*: Nice nudist beach, most people swimming in the nude, but very, very small and sometimes crowded.
-> Sozopol, Zlatna Ribka Camping*: Nice, long beach, but only very few people going in the nude. Sometimes you feel very watched.
-> Primorsko, north of north beach: Seems like a long beach appropriate for nude tanning and swimming. But: many umbrellas - might not be good for nude walks. Perla residence at the north end of the beach - might be a textile tourist magnet, too.
-> Albena-Kranevo: Long official(?) nudist beach. Telling from the photos on Panoramio I think most people are clothed there, though. Would be a nice walk between the two towns if going nude is possible all the way (~1km). I don't like both towns basically consisting only of hotels, though.
-> Irakli: looks nice enough, pretty secluded, too. Not possible to reach without a rental car.
-> Kamchia: Heard a lot good things about this one. Again, you'd need a rental car - there don't seem to be supermarkets around there either. From the photos on Panoramio it looks like most of this beach is textile, too.
-> Kara Dere, north of Byala: Long beach, not very crowded. Long(!) walk from Byala. Nudity doesn't seem to be a problem, but only practiced by very few.
-> Golden Sands, north of Yacht haven: Official nudist beach of the bulgarian nudist federation. Seems to be small and crowded, though.
-> Ahtopol: Don't know a thing about this one. Only heard that there is a nudist beach. |
