warmskin your right it is they're home not ours it amazes me when the news post a picture of a pack of sharks swimming just off the beach where swimmers are swimming well Duh where are they suppose to swim, I do think there are more sighting or wait maybe just more news coverage maybe ? |

We don't want to ever see you bitten, Bob. That's correct, it's the home of sharks, and when we invade their space (go swimming), we should be mindful of that fact. On the west coast, where the ocean is typically 55 degrees, we have our own dangers, too.
I went to a nude beach north of San Francisco, but I got in the ocean only up to my waist. That's as far as I felt safe wading into that ice water.

bottom line a lot of sharks just off the beach on east coast of florida this year and why not it's they're territory not ours, I always am entertained when I visit fishing piers where fisherman toss live bait and within close range swimmers even under the pier crazy.i was at Apollo beach a few years back and a baby shark might have been a nurse shark but concerns where mama shark I got out of water. |

I posted this after I ran across what purported to be a current news story, I linked to that story, but within a couple of days that link didn’t work, so I tried to find the story on another website, so I could provide a working link. I didn’t realize that the link I found was to an old news item.
Today I tried unsuccessfully to find a news story about a recent shark bite at Haulover Beach. I guess I’ve been duped.
