Posted - 07/25/2003 : 1:35:31 PM Oka Park Nude Beach, Montréal,Canada Just a short report about that beautiful but mostly secret place located about 30-40 minutes of downtown Montreal, Canada.
To get access take highway 15 north to Laurentians and interchange to highway 640 west direction up to its end. The Parc d'Oka summer entrance is there.
The nude section of the beach is located into the east part of the very nice Oka Park (Parc d'Oka in french). From the parking lot you have to follow the side path along the beach going east up to the clothes optional aera which is in fact safely distanced from the other public beach. It is representing a 20-30 minutes walk that can be done also by bicycle.
No near services are provided if you except dry W.C. but few men and women nude entrepreneurs are currently selling cool beverages and things to snack on place.
There is also an organized Volleyball field by volonteers who are playing a real key role in maintening the beach nice.
2002 summer season has been a wonderful one with a very nice and consistent weather until the end of September. The clothes optional section of the Parc d’Oka beach has been extended to the west side giving further distance from the portion occupied by boats. Many people and small families have fully appreciated this quieter sector.
As usual beach volunteer users have given a tremendous effort to offer us a nice, clean and discrete beach. Relationship between them and park authorities were as good as ever and 2003 perspectives are very high. This beach located into great Montreal region is the only one of his kind and play the same role as Wreck beach in Vancouver. place.
If you are planning going to Montreal this summer make sure to visit Parc d'oka and its beautiful nude beach section.
(I have none pictures for that report but I will try to update this next summer) |

Posted - 08/22/2012 : 7:05:34 PM Just enjoyed an incredible day at Oka! It is alive and well and busy! The beach is incredible with soft white sand and miles of beach to walk. We love beach walking and this beach fits the bill! Has to be our favourite beach now! Hwy 640 west from Montreal and follow signs to Oka Prov Park; $17 for the park entry fee. The park has camping and full facilities including a restaurant/store. The nude beach has washroom and a concession that is open on weekends.
nothing feels better than the warm sun on 100% of the body! |

Posted - 01/22/2010 : 6:16:07 PM Does anyone know of a website for this site? They once had a yahoo group but I can't find it anymore. I know they also used to offer nude indoor swimming near St. Laurent St. and I would like to get in touch with the group to get their dates and location again. I used to get it through the groups email. After losing my internet for about 6 months I lost all the info. Thanks in advance if anyone responds. You can contact me at the email listed on my profile.
If you have it, use it. |

Posted - 08/21/2009 : 8:29:32 PM I went to Oka two times this week and want to thank all who put info about it here. It helped a lot! I wonder though: could some people who are frequent visitors provide an update on it? I don't want to put my own remarks which may more disinformate then help others like me.

Posted - 08/17/2009 : 12:04:10 AM It does make one scratch their head NaturistDoc. Spent the entire afternoon at Oka today, and will spend all day there tomorrow. I LOVE it there! Unfortunately the weather has been terrible this summer, so this will only be my 4th time going all year.

It is puzzling and frustrating to try and understand why Canada, a nation not geographically situated to be a world leader in beach culture, can maintain fantastic places like Parc d'Oka and Wreck Beach, with generally good relations between beach users, volunteers, and law enforcement ... while the USA, with hundreds of miles of warm-weather beaches, can boast of only a handful of legal nude beaches. I'm not enough of a sociologist to account for the cultural differences between the two countries, but it makes me crazy.
We can also add Toronto's offical clothes optional beach on Toronto Island and many other locations tolerated, although not offical. There is Hope and as the Washington Independent reports 6/5/09 Nudist Lobby To Descend on Capitol Hill, The Hill reports the AANR is again coming to town and for last 10yrs., to lobby congressional lawmakers to increase the number of locations for enjoying nude recreation on public lands and now more than ever they're listening to the hard data,20% of North Americans enjoy nude recreation, surely change is on the horizon, in Germany clothes optional beaches out number textiles now. They, Congress will realize soon maybe a little late.
