Posted - 10/04/2005 : 11:53:33 PM I am not a nudist but the idea is growing on me. and before I make my choice I have several questions. I would like know what it is about the life-style that you like the most. I mean, you can swim, ski, and play golf with clothes on and still have fun. |

Posted - 07/08/2007 : 08:53:08 AM I like the freedom that it brings, I like the sun and wind on my skin. Also the people that I have met at clothing optional resorts are far more friendly than at the textile places. I am trying to get my wife to try, I'll have to let you know how that goes. |

Posted - 06/09/2007 : 1:46:31 PM the freedom is one thing that is appealing to me. another thing is the fact that it takes away anything that could hint of an "im better than you" attitude that alot of people have. |

Posted - 02/15/2007 : 02:27:06 AM To us belonging to our local sun club is sort of unique none of our friends from work belong but the closeness that you have to our new group of friends is something special. last year I had a stay in hospital, our sun club friends were the first to ring to see how I was. I HATE SWIMMING TOGS there is nothing nicer to swim naked and not have to worry about you togs coming off. The freedom to be nude is such a great feeling |

Posted - 02/11/2007 : 12:23:19 PM Social acceptance from other nudists. Increased body image. Clothing is too restrictive and confining. A much heightened sense of awareness as the sun, air, and water touches my skin...all of my skin. Simply makes me feel much more alive. That's what appeals to me about the nudist lifestyle.

Posted - 02/09/2007 : 4:14:21 PM When people are "nude", they having nothing to hide. I deal with people and so does Mrs. Cookie, who are so into themselves.
They Make Us Sick!!!!!!
I could just see the m dropping their clothes at a nudist site, they would be lost!!!
Over our 10 to 11 year period of being nude we have met many "true" friends" and would be there for you in a heart beat if there was a problem.
It is just the idea that you can just "relax" and be nude, and be with some wonderful friends, or you can just sit back and relax you your own way.
The feedom of being able to do what you want and not have "Big Brother" looking over your shoulder and saying "NO YOU CAN'T DO THAT!! That is why we enjoying going away for a week or two to either Desert Shawdows, or Cypress Cove, because it is so wonderful not to worry about what or who will think about you.

Posted - 02/09/2007 : 12:07:00 AM I think Nudism is fun with my wife at a resort or by myself at home because I feel more alive. No matter what I am doing, I feel more aware and more a part of my own life when I am doing it nude.
Remember, our skin is the largest organ of our body. For me, Nudism is like taking a breath of fresh air with my skin. It's like the lyrics in Natasha Bedingfield's great song:
... Staring at the blank page before you Open up the dirty window Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find Reaching for something in the distance So close you can almost taste it Release your inhibitions Feel the rain on your skin No one else can feel it for you Only you can let it in No one else, no one else Can speak the words on your lips Drench yourself in words unspoken Live your life with arms wide open Today is where your book begins The rest is still unwritten ...
I find Nudism renews my spirit and makes me a better human. After being nude, particularly at a resort, I seem to appreciate and enjoy other people more, and to take them more for the persons they really are. Lately, it is even starting to mellow me out on the road, and that is truly amazing. :-) |

Posted - 02/07/2007 : 5:31:00 PM The idea that, upon removing my clothing, I am freeing myself of the vestiges of the person I want people to see me as and becoming the person I really am. Clothing is often a way for us to hide our true selves, often trying to make ourselves be more...more anything, really; more glamorous, more dark, more beautiful, more pure, more scary...You can choose clothes to make people see you virtually any way you want, even if what they see is nothing like what you are. It is impossible not to be judged by our clothes and impossible not to become the person we dress to portray. Nudity is not freedom form clothes. It's freedom from being the people we pretend to be; it's freedom to finally be just you, without mixing in the person your clothes say you are and without having to live up to the image your clothes portray. That's as close as I can come to explaining it, anyway. |

Posted - 02/07/2007 : 4:06:52 PM AWW, the nude part! It's comfortable, freeing, and very relaxing. When I'm nude my mind, soul and body are totally at peace. |

Posted - 01/30/2007 : 01:02:00 AM nudism appeals to me/us as a form of freedom. As mentioned above by Randy, "comfort" very much sums up the whole sense of being without any clothes. the water.... the wind.... etc. it feels so nice against your skin. try it.... you might just even like it!

Posted - 12/09/2006 : 02:46:51 AM Private nudism(within my parents household, which is nudist) is how I was brought up,I don't know another way and wearing clothes to get by on the practicality front is already a dampener in my prefered way of life.I am a very low stress person(Cheri made that point above and i subscribe to it) and I used to teach yoga to nudists in my home in Boston, totally free, very destressing and felt rewarded that I could give back something to the nudist community.

Posted - 11/26/2006 : 1:47:22 PM For me it is the feeling of freedom. The lack of constraint from clothing and the feeling of a cool breeze on my skin. Also, with nudists there is generally no pretence. Everything is on show and you are just you. It just feels liberating and natural for me and is the way I prefer to be. I would like to find a job I could do in the nude and just be that way all the time. |

Posted - 01/16/2006 : 6:19:17 PM To me the nudist lifestyle is the closest thing to Heaven you can get on this earth. After all it was God’s first plan for man, till we messed it up.
I’m not interested in the Streets of Gold, just give me the Garden and I’ll be happy.

Posted - 01/16/2006 : 06:28:32 AM Wow, what's written in the messages above perfectly summarise what my thoughts are. It's all there. Freedom, relief, an overwhelming feeling of belonging to the world and to nature.
Glad to see so many of us practice nudism for the same reasons! |
