Hi all, I am a new member, but a long time "home nudist".
I am wondering how others broke the news to friends and family? I have 1 friend that I have joked around with over the years about nudity, like taking our wives to a nude beach, or other things along that line. He is a friend that would understand, and probably join in, but he and his family have resently moved an hour away, and we don't see them as often. There is a family member that would probably be understanding also, but outside of them, that is it. I live in a vary conservitive Christian (Baptist) family, who would not understand my beliefs on this matter. My wife knows my feelings, but she WILL NOT take part, other than in our home. I would love to have some friends that knew and possibly understood my feelings on nudity.
I live in northeast Ohio, where the only club in the area is not friendly to single guys coming in. We have many miles of waterfront with Lake Erie, but no nude or CO beaches. I feel trapped and alone.
Any advice!?!? |

Breaking the news to my friends was easy, as my first few public nude experiecnes where on vacations, we had plenty of photos. Everyone likes to look at vacation photos, so we just made sure that they were not weeded out, and after the initial gasps the subject was quite easy to talk about. Since this time many of my friends have taken to sunbathing nude on vacation. |

dear nytro,
this might not be ur cup of tea..but look into this or anothe site that has good resources on christian naturism..it is out there..only know of one and that is based in VT and he and his family are very devout christians as well as nudists...it is an option..above all God loves u no matter what |

Hey man! I can relate to your situation, somewhat. Although we live near several wonderful resorts and clubs our families are similar.
We attend a Baptist Church and are conservative. Our neighbors know we're nudists, and have seen us in our yard on many occasions nude. We also attend church with some of these same neighbors. Most all of our friends and many business associates know we're nudists. Our family certainly does, and you don't have to convince them you're still the same person they've known all their life.
We're very open with most people we meet that we're nudists, usually they have a lot of questions and it leads to invitations to come to the pool. Some bite, others don't.
So, my suggestion is to buy a big hot tub and put a decent and inviting deck, a "cozy environment if you live in suburbia," and then invite your neighbors and friends over. Since you don't have dues to a club and membership fees, five to six thousand dollars invested in your home and harmony is even better spent.

Hi Nytro,
I know what you mean about living in an area that doesn't seem friendly towards nudists.. Living in the north east for me presents weather problems and I'm not ready to join a club. I just want to go to the beach and relax. I enjoy being nude on our boat but we have to be in waters pretty far off shore - so I've been searching for some beaches in the USVI and the people here have been very helpful. My 1st time will be next saturday and I can hardly wait. Like your wife I would have never considered being even topless. Boating changed my mind so I feel I will be comfortable with other like minded people and after that experience maybe I will be ready to try a club. This is a good forum so don't give up. As far as family is concerned - Mum is having a better time than the kids! |
