Posted - 10/07/2003 : 08:06:47 AM Hi I have been observing for quite some time now that when I am looking at the members page, some members have blue stars or yellow stars or no star..... some are starting members, some are new members....and various other type of members.
I just wanna know abt these stars and membership status...I am happy to see 2 stars near my name, what does this mean??
Clarify please. |

Posted - 10/13/2003 : 6:31:27 PM Everyone starts as a starting member. When they have posted 10 times they automatically become new members, until they have posted enough to show a contributing member star. The next levels are full member, advanced member, and senior member. I'm not providing the exact numbers because they are subject to change from time to time. |

Posted - 10/07/2003 : 12:05:22 PM Rahul, the number of stars indicates the number of posts you have contributed, nothing more. At this time, the blue stars are used for the administrator, and the yellow for moderators and members. The thresholds for each "level" are adjusted from time to time to reflect the variance of participation of each member. It's just an indication of who has the most to say. (Of course, when someone is found to be posting only for stars, posting meaningless garbage, they and their posts are subject to deletion at the Admin's discretion.) |
