Posted - 12/02/2007 : 10:55:01 AM I have a question for the women out there- maybe you know, because I don't:
When you lose a lot of weight, do your breasts ever go back to their 'normal' size? I've lost around 30 pounds now and I'm still losing (I have a lot more to lose, but it's coming off at a healthy rate.) All of my other parts are shrinking, but my breasts don't seem to be. Will they shrink, too? I kind of want them to- shut up here men- but they aren't. So will they? Maybe not completely to their normal size, but maybe a little bit smaller? I used to be a B/C and now I'm a D. C would be fine again, B would be better..... but I'll take what I can get!
Melissa

Posted - 12/02/2007 : 1:07:18 PM Melissa... This is a bit unpredictable. Some of it depends on genetics (look at other women in your family); some on hormonal milieu (oral contraceptive use, for example); some on body habitus; some on weight; some on random chance.
Your best bet is to (1) get to your end weight and then (2) speak with your physician. If medical alternatives fail and the size is still distressing (interferes with exercise, for example) surgery can be used to reduce size. Search the internet for "reduction mammoplasty" for example. PM me if you have additional queries.

Posted - 12/02/2007 : 12:17:08 PM Melissa, I can only let you know what has happened to me. 14 yrs. ago when I married Allen, I weighed 129 lbs. and wore a B/C cup. Since gaining weight of @ 15 lbs., if I were to wear a bra, it would definitely be a D since I recently tried on an old bra that no longer fits (trying to get some room in my dresser and throwing things away). I've lost a few lbs. from time to time, and the breasts stay the same size. I have to be careful with what I wear to work, making sure blouses do not span even with wearing jackets/vests. Hugs, Cheri
