Posted - 01/11/2004 : 11:25:59 AM Every time I take my clothes off I have clothing lines and it seems like some lines are there regardless of how long I've been nude. For example, I have bra strap lines that have been on my shoulders for YEARS and don't ever go away. Any ideas on how to get rid of them? The other lines go away, but the bra strap lines never leave. I'm looking into wearing a different type of bra (now THAT'S traumatic for me!!!) but any tips for in the meantime?

Posted - 11/18/2008 : 7:44:18 PM As a photographer, I've found that just about the best way to remove lines left by tight clothes is to apply warm / hot towels. This works quicker than any other method as far as I know. Far better of course is for no tight clothing to be worn prior to a session or before going to a naturist setting. Bras, socks and tight jeans especially with wide leather belts cause the worst marks.

Posted - 11/18/2008 : 10:12:48 AM My bra marks go away after a while. Melissa, as you continue to lose weight (and ^5 to you on your progress!), I think this will be less of an issue. |

Posted - 09/23/2008 : 8:01:38 PM Hi, new to this forum but felt the need to post on this subject as it is dear to my heart. I am also pretty well blessed in the breast department and found that pride was forcing me into wearing a bra a year or two ago when I could feel things start to "move south". A few months ago I had an epiphany and realised that I was much more comfortable with my boobs unfettered and decided that I didn't care that my nipples weren't necessarily pointing skyward. I am now comfortable with the shape of my body and am happy with the way I fill a teeshirt.
Elastic marks from knicks haven't been a problem for some time. Just a light skirt (of a reasonable length to preserve my modesty) is all I usually wear from the waist down and all in all, the feeling of freedom of movement and free ventilation is as good as it gets until my clothes can come off.

Posted - 08/05/2008 : 09:09:52 AM The easiest way to get rid of these bra lines is to use the bra less often.
Avoid sleeping with a bra and try to be toplessas often as possible to allow the skin to go to its natural shape.
There really is no need to wear a bra at home, many people go topless at home for a good skin tone.
It does not matter what size breasts you have as long as you are comfortable with bare breasts

Posted - 06/19/2007 : 3:19:46 PM I dislike bras for the simple reason that I can rarely find one that fits and stays put.
I do like clothes lines however, and have one in my backyard for drying my socks and panties :)

Posted - 06/04/2006 : 09:41:32 AM Melissa is quite large in this department, and like other ladies I have known, would probably HURT a good bit without some support.
I used to have a co-worker at the next desk over, who had a 50 inch chest. I could not help but overhear her discussing her constant pains, even with support. |

Lisa, When I wore a strapless bra, there was still a line under the breasts and around toward the back from elastic.

Posted - 04/25/2005 : 12:38:58 AM I think the answer is - Not to wear underwear, live nude or with just the flimiest cover. If/when (say)I go, to dinner with friends, it is only garter belt and stockings. And then get rid of them as soon as possible when I get home. And why does one need a bra?

Posted - 01/17/2004 : 5:41:51 PM I only wear a bra when I have too, like to work or Church. Cheef had some good suggestions, and yes the fitting is the most important. You can get bra and panty lines from wearing them too tight. I have found that the hot tub does help with the clothing lines.

Well, I went bra shopping last night. Now there's an experience I'd rather not endure again! It's been many years since I had to pick out a new bra style and I had no idea what I was doing. So I had my cell phone out and called half the female world to ask the most personal of questions: what kind of bra do you wear? Do you like it/ would you recommend it? Luckily, my friends all know that I'm nuts so they don't think twice about these kinds of questions anymore. Anyway, I got a new one and I'll try it today. The straps are such that they shouldn't leave marks forever. Well, I'm hopeful they won't, anyway. i didn't call any of my female nudist friends to ask about marks and my textile friends have no reason to care about marks, if you know what I mean. I'll let you know how it goes!

Posted - 01/13/2004 : 01:37:20 AM Bras that are too tight shut down circulation and are suspects in the higher incidence of breast cancer among women who wear bras. Supposedly, this is more a problem under the arms than over the shoulders. Whatever style, it needs to fit well under the arms, according to this line of research. Bra lines on the shoulders may not be the worst. Wider straps might help there. |
