Back on topic, each year Travelites has an auction to help SisterCare, Naturist Action Committee, AANR Education Foundation, and American Research Nudist Library. You can bid on listed items or even donate a store Gift Card if you can. That website is a link off of http://pages.prodigy.net/travelites - auction update listed at the bottom of that page.

ANYTHING, Melissa. We've had porcelin dishes, ballcaps, massages, brownies, chocolate chip cookies, apple pies, oil change, home cooking - catered meal, bathsheets, mugs, bottle of wine, plant, you name it (almost), it's been donated during the past 10 yrs. I also get some of the area merchants to give things such as Cici's pizza buffet, Ruby Tuesdays, Shoney's, Bi-Lo supermarket, Hollywood Update video rental, etc.
After the first of the year, I print out letters to the various merchants who have helped in past years.

What kind of things are you looking for to be donated? Nudist stuff or anything we feel led?

Collection has started for the 2004 auction. So far I've received some neat tshirts from Shane Gentry's Nekkid Monday Band and CDs as well. I will have some AANR merchandise. I have been promised another 2 days camping or RV site from Carolina Foothills as well. If you can, ask your club to donate a tshirt to the auction. Last year we donated a total of about $800 to all the causes: SisterCare, NAC, AANR Education Foundation, & the American Nudist Research library.

Travelites' Annual Auction to benefit SisterCare (charity for abused women and their children) is just about over. Travelites will again be able to donate additional funds to the American Nudist Research Library.
Bids have been coming in via email and telephone. The final day of bidding will be on August 9th at the Toga & Pool Party. The party starts at 3, the final auctioning will take place at 5pm with a potluck supper directly after all the bids are tallied.

Travelites, Inc. is now one of the organizations that will be receiving funds from Food Lion. Any funds that come in from members and friends linking to Travelites, Inc. at http://www.foodlion.com/shp_lssconsumers.asp
will be earmarked for SisterCare.
Please, if you go to Food Lion supermarkets and have their MVP card, please register it at the above website, link it to Travelites, Inc. and we will be getting quarterly rebates.
