There was a good suggestion for an "off topic" topic, where the Admin won't gripe at you for ignoring the subject!
And so, drum roll please, the moment we have been waiting for has finally arrived! In this thread, and this thread only, it matters not what the subject is, nor if there was a subject in the first place. So, what's new with you?

Posted - 07/01/2005 : 3:44:46 PM SAILORDAVE-You have no excuse for you and Paula failing to come and visit papabill and me either at our home in NC or at the mobile home we have at White Tail Park. If you make visit to visit Paula's brother in NC then it's just a hop, skip, and jump (just down the the road a piece) further and you'd be either at our home in Edenton (textile world) or at our mobile home at White Tail Park. Posted - 06/21/2005 : 02:28:23 AM Hi all,
Back from our short but sweet vacation to Club Orient.
Randy, sent you a PM regarding your So Cal. visit.
Thanks for letting him know I was out here Cheri. We're about an hour and a half from being naked on the sand and make the trip regularly during the summer so I hope nudeisntlewd (Randy) and I can connect if and when he comes out.

Posted - 06/20/2005 : 11:34:59 AM tbdan, I know what you mean about the prices at landed clubs. They can be very prohibitive if you are on a tight budget. You might check for non-landed clubs in your area. The cost is much, much lower, and you would have an opportunity to make friends with other nudists in your area. Some of them accept singles, some don't. The one I belong to does, but they do try to keep the ratio even for male and female. This club has house parties. I have also belonged to a non-landed club that traveled to landed clubs as a group. You will find nudism a wonderful lifestyle. Relaxing, calming, and it brings you closer to nature. Best of all, you can make some really good friends for life. Bluestreak |

Posted - 06/19/2005 : 7:59:15 PM tbdan, You don't say what your price range is, but $60,000 in this area is not expensive at all, and the apartments are much more than the $516/month of our mortgage. We're around most of the time though and don't have to find some one to watch the place or our 3 cats.

Posted - 06/19/2005 : 4:23:12 PM Cheri Great idea. I know I cannot mirror A true nudist resort. Being at sea most of the time I have no one to take care of it. If I could afford those things the prices at resorts and membership would not be an issue. Dan |

Posted - 06/19/2005 : 1:54:28 PM tbdan, If you find a home that has no 2-story homes around it, you can always put up a privacy fence or keep your blinds drawn and just visit nudist venues when you can.
We bought 7 acres with a double-wide on it for 60,000 southeast of Columbia, SC.

Posted - 06/19/2005 : 12:37:38 PM HI I would like to open a new topic. I am new to the nude life in the open. I would do it when possible, but, alas, my own worries stopped me from enjoying it. Now I in a possition in my life that I can "start to live" and this is the way I prefer to do it. With this in mind I have been looking around. I was shocked the see the prices for living. My Heart jumped into my throat when I found a place near me,only to be crushed to find the prices. I will have to get a second job to afford this. Thank you for your ears.

In the article, titled "There's nothing between me and these words".
Jim Pfiffer writes...
quote: I'm writing this column in the nude.
It wasn't my idea. One of my readers suggested it. It followed a column I wrote in May about visiting a nudist colony in Candor and then writing about it. I asked readers if I should go nude and write a firsthand story.
Further down it says...
quote: Every reader who responded recommended that I do the story nude. A reader named Cheri suggested I write a column in the nude, to get a feel for it, before visiting the nudist park. The park was called "Buckridge," but recently changed its name to "Bonita Nudist Resort." (Bonita is Spanish for "beautiful").
The emphasis is mine...
His conclusion for the article is
quote: My nude readers are correct. It does feel natural and liberating to be nude. But I'm alone in my nudeness. I don't know how I'll feel naked in front of other naked people. I'll find out when I visit the camp this summer.
If you want to experience it yourself, take off your clothes now and reread this column in the nude.
But please, don't send me any pictures.
Yup, That was me. :) I sent him the following email: Mr. Pfiffer,
http://www.stargazettenews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050619/COLUMNIST20/506190302 - In this story, you write:
Many of my bare readers informed me that it's politically incorrect to say "nudist colony" or "nudist camp." The correct terms are "nudist/naturalist clubs and camps" or "clothing optional" facilities. Some folks call it being "textile free."
I like the article; however, nudist = naturist rather than naturalist. A naturalist is one who studies plants and animals. Landed nudist clubs, those with permanent facilities, are frequently called nudist parks. Nonlanded clubs (such as the one I founded and currently run) have no permanent facilities and have events and activities at members' homes with facilities (pools, hot tubs, trails, ping pong, horseshoes), visit area lakes and rivers for canoeing (canuding), boating, and swimming, have clothed events (dinner, museum), and participate in community activities such as SisterCare (a charity for abused women and their children) or possibly the Adopt-A-Highway cleanup. To find out more about my nonlanded club, you can visit http://pages.prodigy.net/travelites and our calendar of events can be found at - . A brochure I put together for reluctant partners of nudists can be found online at www.travelites.info/cheri.html.
Best regards, Cheri Alexander

Posted - 06/19/2005 : 05:15:49 AM Thanks for the laugh. That's a good question, are nudist laid out in the nude? Will those paying their respects be nude? It seems the best way to honor the deceased.

Posted - 06/18/2005 : 11:09:33 PM I was just listening to an old Blood, Sweat and Tears song "When I Die" on the radio. The lyrics say, "just let me go naturally" and a crazy question that just popped into my head. When you reach your final resting place, will you be buried in the nude? I could just imagine all laid out in my all together and I had to chuckle at the possibilities.

Randy, I was wondering how you're doing. San Onofre beach would be not too far, I think. It's been a few years. LOL
I wish you and your daughter well. I think FireProf might be in that area.

Cheri, Thanks for the well wishes, and the beach info. I'll have to check out San Onofre online. Sorry I haven't been writing much. Meant to get ahold of you, but things have been chaotic here. Nothing seems to be going as I hope or plan. I keep running into brick walls.
