My wife an I are at different levels of this activity. How often do any of you visit resorts or clubs? Do men find themselves wanted to enjoy Nude recreation more frequently that women. My wife would be fine with one or 2 visits a year and I would enjoy once a month. How do you deal with the differences in frequency?

In the summer I go to the nearby nude beach once or twice a week. If we are planning on going to a resort or club I won't go to the beach that week just to make sure I have plenty of family time. If I had my way we would live at a nudist resort! When we were members of a club I would always be wanting go every weekend. Well the wife got tired of that idea real quick. She likes it best when we mix things up something nude one week and non-nude the next.

My wife and I belong to a nudist club here in Perth Western Australia which has about 15 acres of natural bush land. My wife and I go there for weekends twice a month. |

I have yet to get my wife to a club. She is quite comfortable with one particular resort close to home and one in the Caribbean and would rather visit those types of places at this time.
We pass by a club quite frequently enroute to our daughters home and I told her that we really do need to visit there this summer, she agreed but we haven't made it there as of yet.
I really think once she's visited this particular club a couple of times, she may be interested in joining.

I asked the Prof your question and she says...."she's still not over that feeling of being uncomfortable with gawkers and we've been at public/social nudism for about 5 years and have been nudists (at home and in our backyard) for about 30yrs. So I think it's something that may take some a very short time and others quite sometime.
The Prof says she gets through this uncomfortableness with gawkers by doing her best to ignore them and keep her nose in her book!
I actually think she's much better at it then she says she is.
One thing that has helped with this gawker problem is to visit, resorts and clubs where this is minimal or non existant.

Hi Rob! I've always been envious when I read the posts of women who say they were comfortable within 10 minutes of taking off their clothes and never looked back. It took me a good chunk of last summer to get comfortable at the nude beach and I still am not comfortable when there are obvious gawkers around. I am fine at a nudist resort as that factor is eliminated. Hey ladies...any advice on how to get past gawker stress? Would love to get to that "who cares?" level. |

I try to get to the Ledges, a nude beach in southern VT., about 2 or 3 times a month. It used to be even more often, when I was married. My wife and I would each drive there on weekends, then I'd get into uniform and head to work in the afternoon. She had weekends off, and would stay later. I worked a rotating day-off schedule, so I'd go there alone on my days off during the week also.

We Live about 30 min from our club. We try to attend the club as a couple but we don't limit ourselves to that. In general most clubs would prefer you attend as a couple. Our club has many activities all throughout the year that we enjoy attending so it keeps our interest in nudism. We also have become friends with many nude couples and we often go out, have dinner with and participate in activites as a group.
If your club does not offer much activities, consider joining one which does or perhaps coordinate the activites yourself. |

I know your problem NudeDen, have to take your time with the GF. Mine has been once and said "never again" I keep waiting for never to come, but? I try to go every other week by myself,

I've been only once but I would love to go at least once a week or more. I have 3 resort within a hour of me, so I could go pretty much whenever I have time. Though with working and a reluctant fiance my time is very limited.
I'm hoping to get her into nudism so I can go more often and share the experiance with her. She has shown a little interest but is very self-concious and have a very poor body image. We almost went to a resort recently, but unfortunately she backed out at the last minute because of that.

I live within a 15 minute drive of my nude recreational destination. I enjoy weekly get togethers and nude water volleyball.

My wife stopped going to nudist clubs 10 years ago. She just lost interest. Now if I go I go alone. I used to say if I lived near a club I would be there every weekend like we did when we started out 30 years ago, however, without my spouse going along I don't feel like going much. I settle on maybe once a month or every other month even though we now live within 11 miles of a club. It is ironic.

We have 3 clubs within an hour of my house and 2 more within 3 hours. We can also fly for free and we can visit Cypress Cove by catching an early flight out and a late flight back and make a make the trip in a day. Distance is not a problem for us, it's more the motivation. Most of what I have read indicates that the first time visit was an eye opener and after that the Ladies really took to the naturist lifestyle. Are there any ladies out there that had to warm up to nasturism over time? As for me, I've been wanting to continue my journey since my very fisrt visit

Living approx 2 hours away from our fav. spot here in N.E., my wife and I try to make it at least twice a month. When we are in Fla. in the Fall, and in the Spring we try to make it to Cypress Cove at least once a week, generally on the weekend.
If we lived closer, I am sure that we would do it more often.

I go to all events that Travelites, Inc. nudist club has. My husband will not. He has other things he does, ie. work around the house...LOL or when he's not feeling well, I'll go alone.
But, our lifestyle is one of nude when possible (at home and everywhere) clothed when practical
