Hi all out there

Mrs Tuffers and I are considering a holiday Nudist holiday in Florida in May 2007 and would appreciate some guidance from our fellow nudists in USA as to the best clubs to think about.. We are looking for hotel type accommodation and have seen the website for Cypress Cove. Can anybody give me their honest opinion about the venue or recommend any other clubs? We are looking for a quiet relaxing time without clothes

Looking forward to hearing from any member able to help.

Stay bare

Tuffers

Come on - -Tom, I thought you liked a scrap. What's this with the white flag!!!!

I think we will beg to differ on what we want from a holiday. Like Cheri, I like mine vanila but I wouldn't say no to a little raspberry sauce on it just to take the blandness away but not a full blown tooty fruity sundae!! It has been fun sparring though.

Best wishes

Mike

Cheri, I was quoting Tom. I do understand what you mean when you use it in the context of feeling the sun on ones body. However the word is more commonly used in situations connected with sexual activity.

sen#8231;su#8231;al#8231;i#8231;ty#8194;
1. sensual nature: the sensuality of Keats's poetry.
2. unrestrained indulgence in sensual pleasures.
3. lewdness; unchastity.

sen#8231;su#8231;al#8194;
1. pertaining to, inclined to, or preoccupied with the gratification of the senses or appetites; carnal; fleshly.
2. lacking in moral restraints; lewd or unchaste.
3. arousing or exciting the senses or appetites.
4. worldly; materialistic; irreligious.
5. of or pertaining to the senses or physical sensation; sensory.
6. pertaining to the philosophical doctrine of sensationalism.

I dont want to debate the usage of words because to my mind it was pretty obvious as to what he ment

Thank you Cheri. Right now I am diving for cover and raising a white flag.

I think you mean over sexuality. Sensuality just means it feels good such as the sun on your body w/o any constricting clothes. I tend to stay away from anything that is other than plain vanilla nudist.

Thank you beachnudist. You are on the same wavelength as me. I was interested to hear - -Tom's thoughts though I cannot see that they are going to be any different which ever way it is "flowered up".

Could you please explain what this has got to do with Naturism.. I am not naive but wonder whether my idea of a family resort is the same as yours. I too have two sides to my persona!!

So in other words, - - should be considered a tame swingers resort.

Thanks, but no thanks.

As I said before, our experience at - - was perfectly fine. We saw no swingers and enjoyed the stay. I would bet that you could have a bad experience at any given resort, totally dependant upon the timing and the people there. Based on our experiences, we would definately return to - - and Paradise. I'm not so sure about the Cove, simply because of what happened to us there. BTW, I was surprised to see my earlier post was edited for no apparent reason. Is it against the rules to say "phone"?

[Admin's note: This was the result of an inaccurate application of our bad word filter, in an effort to stem phone ads (spam). It should be working better now.]

Tuffers and CMx2, part of me (the evil side) simply enjoys posting provocative comments to liven an otherwise stale and predictable thread. Of course reasonable people should be able to differentiate between an adult (read Hedonism II) type of environment and a family oriented resort. No naturist family wants to suffer the humiliation of having a young son or daughter come up to them and say, "Mommy, Daddy, what is that man doing to that lady?"

At our resort, while there is some overt sensuality displayed in the public areas, sexuality is exclusively behind closed doors. - - is gender neutral regarding bad behavior: people of both sexes have been persuaded to leave the premises for objectionable public behavior (i.e. sexual lewdness and/or intoxication) and upon occasion I have seen very large security men materialize out of thin air to make sure the parties exit the property on to Land O' Lakes Blvd.

Tuffers you and your wife would enjoy - -...or - - - in Palm Springs or a number of other luxurious nudist resorts. Each offer something special.

Thanks CMx2 We are of a like mind and you have spelt it out clearer than I did. Long live decent nudism.

Oh boy Cheri, I will have to learn to decipher basic vernacular English. Yes these threads do take on a half-life of years and years.

Maybe I was also perplexed on all the good people who seem to prefer going to the rustic Bug Holler Nudist Camp to escape the "perversions so profound and disgusting..." occasionally found at many a more sophisticated resort. To each their own.

I think you're kind of missing the point. But thats o.k. I'll try to explain it again.

Nudism and swinging are NOT the same thing. Thanks to resorts like - -, some people (you for example) may mistakenly equate the two.

I will never expect to see these "perversions so profound and disgusting..." at ANY nudist resort sophisticated or not. Your implication that more amenities equals more open sex is an idea that is not based on reality. I'm even surprised to see such a rediculous statement.

The - - resort does have the right to pander to the swinger crowd if they want to. But in doing this they lose the right to call themselves a nudist resort.

They also have a responsibility to inform their guests exactly what to expect upon arrival.

Personally, I'd rather spend my money at Bug Holler Nudist Camp if they adhere to and promote an actual nudist lifestyle.

In response to - -Tom's posting, as I was the one that first enquired about a holiday in Florida, and am delighted to have got so much feedback, I will chip in again. It was Naturistdoc who asked the question about December temperatures and Cheri gave a straight answer. Unless Cheri has hidden talents, and can predict the weather two months hence then I think the comments are a little unfair. (If you can predict the weather Cheri, I am sure you will be very welcome in the UK!!)

It seems that a raw nerve has been touched regarding - - but if you are suggesting that what is reported to go on doesn't then I would be interested in listening. Sue and I want a decent holiday (which won't come cheap) but at a resort that has true nudist principles and where decorum is open. That doesn't mean that we need to have primitive surroundings, just good family ideals. Whatever the plush amenities, we are not swingers and neither of us are interested in that sort of lifestyle. So the Cove it is!!! We just need to arrange flights & the booking and sunny Florida, here we come.

Thanks to all that have helped inus making our choice, including - -Tom.

Tom, It's great that your temps are as good as our 70 & 80 degree temps. here, but the original poster was talking about December. It's been known to be in the 40s and 50s as well as the high 60s and rarely in the 70s during that time; two years ago, it was in the 30s.
