In elementary school, back in France, I was THE kid who tossed off his swimtrunks as soon as I hit the locker room, and then stayed nude until it was time to leave. If I'd had my way I would have swam nude too. At the time I had no idea that my leanings were nudist.
And then puberty hit me like a ton of bricks. I was a very skinny kid and I was totally ashamed of my body; making social nudity impossible for me as a teen. Regrettably.
Then I went to a nude beach in my mid-twenties. I went nude after some effort but was still really self-conscious. Then I went to a resort and went nude right away, staying nude the entire time; but I was still self-conscious in front of other nudists. Then I went to a non-landed get-together, stayed nude the entire time too; a little less self-conscious but still so.
Then I went to a resort open house, with a lot of group activities being offered. I semi-reluctantly got dragged into one of the activities. And in the midst of running around the pool area, chasing and being chased, it just kinda hit me: I'd been completely unself-conscious about my nudity and the crowd that'd had been observing us having a blast running around the pool nude. That was my IT moment for finally being comfortable socially nude.

I would guess that sometime in my mid teens I was comfortable being nude and working on the all over tan. We had a second floor balcony that faced the back yard so when I was home alone or if everyone else was busy doing stuff, I would go to the balcony, strip down and get some sun. It was not until I was in my late 20's before I actually visited a nudist resort. It used to be that they had a big billboard on I20 about 50 miles east of Dallas. I had seen the sign several times I and I finally decided to give it a try. |

I found nudism for myself at age 10 or so. Never heard of nudism, and did not know of nudist resorts back then. I blame that on our public school.
At junior high school, during PE classes, I would walk from the shower directly to the next class, forgetting to dress. Okay, not really, but being as absent-minded as I am, it could have happened.
Haved preferred going nude since those days. I am right now. To prove it, I went back to Red Rock Beach north of San Francisco, a nude beach.

As long as I can remember from being a child that I would always want to take my underwear off and walk around nude in the back yard. I grew up being laughed at by my siblings and my Father accused me of being wild. What can I say, till this day I don't let it bother me what they think as I must have known all along that it was just so right and natural to be nude outdoors. |

well i alway comfortable being nude at home more less going from shower to bedroom but i think when i was 12 and in junior high and had to shower with others during pe classand yes it wan't coed but i think even if it had been i discovered being nude around other was ok . when i finally visited a nudist camp it didn't take but seconds to become a nudist. |

Felt comfortable nude and enjoyed being nude outside since age 16. Was not very aware of social nudity at that time but just loved being nude.
Was seen by a neighbor lady while outside in the sun nude one day, and she told my mother. Mom mentioned it but never objected and never said stop. Enjoyed it a few more times before deciding not to take the chance anymore because it was possible that some trouble might happen from it.

I remember being nude in my house when no one was home at age 12 or so. If awoke in the middle of the night, I would go outside and walk around our suburban Atlanta neighborhood. Lots of trees and bushes to hide in, in case a car or someone came. It was so exhilerating! I didnt actively persue a nudist lifestyle until my divorce from my first wife in '06. Funny how the clean slate of a divorce re-awakens old passions.
The sadest part of being a nudist is putting clothes on to enter the textile world. |

In contrast ... we are, at times, naked around our daughters and grandchildren. They are not as comfortable sitting around eating, watching TV, playing games, in the nude, but like to go to the nude beach with us and have been on vacation to a nude beach resort with us ... and they enjoyed it enough that they ask us time and time again ... when are we going back.
They skinny dip in their pool with each other and the adults have skinny dipped with friends but it usually takes several cocktails of a bottle of wine. We, on the other hand, have never needed "liquid courage" to live and do what we do.
We wished the girls and grandkids would have adopted a nudist lifestyle ... it would have made it a bit easier on us but ... we are glad that they are at least willing to try it, partake in it on some level and have the desire to return to the nude beach and nude resorts with us from time to time. That's much better than nothing.

I felt comfortable with other people at age 70. At home I always slept nude after the children left home about 59. Now I sunbathe in the nude between 12.00 amd 1.00 pm against the fence of my garden where I am sure my neighbours will not see me. I do not think I will be comfortable to be nude around my children or grand children. That is the reason we go to Haulover Beach (nude beach) very far from home. I will not go to a nude beach near my home.
Voila.....

I remember one night when I was 6, I said I didn't have anything to wear to bed and my mom said then don't wear anything and I said naked and she said yeah and the next morning she came in my room and I was on top of the bed naked, but 17 was the age I found out about the nudist lifestyle and when I really embraced it and have been feeling comfortable in it ever since and continue to feel so now that I've entered my 30's. |

I was a late bloomer so I was comfortable at about 16-17 after puberty I guess. It was also the first and only time I sunbathed nude in my backyard my mother caught me and didnt seem to care. But after that as I got older she opposed seeing my nude body. |

I think I was always comfortable being nude in my family's home. As long as I can remember. A little bit self-conscious in front of others, I think, until I went to a naturist campground with my aunt, uncle and cousin when I was 13. I was a little bit nervous, but my cousin was like a big sister to me and she told me it was fun and natural and that I would get used to it. I think it took me about 30 seconds after we got there before it felt natural and comfortable. I have loved it ever since. |

I enjoyed it from the begining then some one pulled me out in the light, slaped me on the butt and stuck a diaper on me.

I have enjoyed being nude since I was around 12 years old. I still like to take nude walks in the woods at age 50!
