There was a good suggestion for an "off topic" topic, where the Admin won't gripe at you for ignoring the subject!
And so, drum roll please, the moment we have been waiting for has finally arrived! In this thread, and this thread only, it matters not what the subject is, nor if there was a subject in the first place. So, what's new with you?

Posted - 11/26/2007 : 01:22:01 AM My mother has been teaching since 1953. She is working 3 half days this year. My oldest started teaching a first year buisness course this fall(college). Younger daughter is working on her teaching certification (she works with pre-K). I'm sure I will hear plenty of stories this Christmas.
Bob Have a nice NUDE day !! |

Posted - 11/25/2007 : 6:55:02 PM Melissa, Nice stories/tales. Hope to see you in Chat again on Tuesday. That troublesome child is in for a big awakening. Maybe it's a good thing.
We had an almost boring holiday. We grilled ham steak w/pineapple. I baked homegrown (neighbor) sweet potatoes, homemade mashed potatoes, salad, and ice cream for dessert.
Have a grand holiday season. Hugs, Cheri

Posted - 11/25/2007 : 5:43:19 PM Loved your stories! Kids...even our own relatives, say the darnest things but sometimes the mom's and dad's can top them!
You have that ability to look at these types of issues just like the Prof and our two daughters, as you know who are both teachers. Our youngest usually has these types of discussions with the Prof's sister who has a young daughter that was being taught by our youngest daugher's best friend.
Of course the Prof's sister, our daughter's aunt, thought that the teacher was completely wrong and didn't know how to teach. Then got an ear full from our daughter as she told her aunt about her daughter's attitude and demeanor in class and it mirrored the teacher's comments. Of course the aunt stopped talking to our daughter on this subject there after.
Thanks for sharing your Thanksgiving stories. Glad you made it back home safely.

Posted - 11/25/2007 : 4:40:38 PM I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. I know I did! I went to Buffalo, NY (from Philadelphia- 8 hour drive, yuck!) to be with my family. It was especially nice to see my 2 nieces and my nephew, though all 3 are handfulls and my nephew (almost 8) is downright mean these days.
I have to share a funny story, though: one that could only happen in my family. My sister had report card conferences last week for her 5 year old daughter Molly and almost 8 year old son Zachary. So, being the teacher that I am, I asked how they did. Molly did fine, which was no big surprise. Zach got an "N" in "listens and follows directions." But my sisters immediately followed up that statement by explaining that the teacher said that this was because Zach was smart, so it was a good thing. Being full of wonder at this point, I asked her what EXACTLY the teacher said. So here's what she tells me: "The teacher said that Zachary doesn't usually listen to her directions because he thinks his own directions are better. So sometimes he gets the answers right and sometimes he gets the answers wrong, based on whether his choice of directions are right." DUH! So this is a GOOD thing, dear sister? Only my sister would interpret this as good. Basically the teacher is saying he doesn't listen to or follow directions and that's it's affecting his work. But my sister totally doesn't see it that way. Too funny. Or am I nuts and just hearing the statement like a teacher and my sister is right? It just sounds like teacher-ease to me for 'your kid doesn't listen and is messing up because of it.'
Anyway, that's my Thanksgiving story. I look forward to Christmas when I can see my nieces and nephew again. For Christmas I travel to Buffalo on Saturday, stay until Christmas morning, leave for Albany after Mackenzie opens her gifts, and get to Albany in time for Zach and Molly to come back from their father's house at 3:00 to open their gifts at their mom's house. Then I'll return to Philly on Thursday. It'll be busy but fun.
Melissa
ps- I have to tell you something else that's funny, while I'm in a good mood and telling funny things. Remember that nightmare kid that assaulted me? His mother asked me to fill out a RECOMMENDATION form for one of the best schools in the city, most of the form asking about his behavior. Doesn't she realize that I'm going to tell the truth..... but I suppose it'll be good for me to vent.

Hey everybody. I just got the news from my lovely daughter that my grandson is going to get a new baby brother or sister!!! There are at least a few perks to getting older. Here's a couple of shots of my first grandson, Ben. (I hope that doesn't violate any terms of service.)
I just talked to my daughter. She had an ultrasound today and the due date is July 12th, 2008. 7 weeks in, 33 to go.

I have seen your name quite often and have wondered how you were doing! I have missed your posting as well, both here and elsewhere (other clothes-free related forums). |

Posted - 11/12/2007 : 6:35:33 PM I've missed you too, Melissa. You're always welcome to visit. Glad to hear you're moving towards your sister and her children. When you get time, please email me. BTW, I don't have my purple van any more, it blew a head gasket. I'm car shopping right now. As soon as I get a letter from the bankruptcy court allowing me to incur a new debt, I'll be getting probably a Hyndai, good performance, low cost, good mileage.
Hugs, Cheri

Posted - 11/12/2007 : 1:45:52 PM Hi All,
It's been a long time since I've dropped in, so I thought I'd stop to say 'hello' and give some updates on life. Right now I'm living just outside of Philadelphia and working in Philadelphia. I haven't really done many nudist things because of my roommmate- that's a long story. Anyway, I'm going to try to get back into nudism outside the house to the extent that I can because I'm going CRAZY without it! The biggest news in my life is that I'm planning/ hoping to move back to the Albany, NY area in July 2008 near my sister and her family because I miss my niece and my nephew terribly every time I leave and because I'm sick of city teaching in Philadelphia (I had to go to the ER because of an attack by one of my kindergartners last week, I had to take a five inch boxcutter from a kindergartner the week before as he was about to cut another child with it, etc.....) So, that's life right now. I miss you all and I just HAD to drop in and say 'hi.' I especially miss Cheri and her multitudes of wisdom. I'll have to find some way to barricade myself in my room some Tuesday night, get nude, and find that chat room again!
