Posted - 04/02/2008 : 01:06:35 AM Was wondering which are the best places to go for the first timers? Wife and I are looking into three places. 1 is Orient Beach in St Martin. 2 is Hedonism II and the #3 place we are looking at is Hedonism III . Was wanting to know if anyone has been to any of these places and how they liked them. Thanks and have a GREAT evening! |

Posted - 04/06/2008 : 8:50:59 PM I would agree with Cheri, Cypress Cove is a great place to visit as a first timer. we are members there and also are members of - -. You go to Cypress, you will never want to leave.

Remember if you join directly, you will pay more than joining through a club. I generally offer online friends AANR through my club at $50/single or $77.50/couple. If you visit a landed club a few times a year, it pays for itself. Cheri

Posted - 04/04/2008 : 6:54:39 PM Many of the textile-free campgrounds have accommodations for non-camping people. There are some very nice properties across the nation, some in the mountains, others with lakes and abundant hiking. All of the ones I have visited have had the most gracious people, especially when you tell them that nude is a new experience for you.
Another thought is to begin by visiting during the week. Go on a Sunday, Monday or Tuesday to effectively have the whole place to yourself! I went to Lake O'the Woods in IN on a Monday and stayed until Wednesday and there were never more than 4 of us in the pool at once. I canoed there naked for the first time--great experience!

Posted - 04/02/2008 : 10:56:03 PM It really depends what you want, and what your expectations are. Orient beach is wonderful, but there are all sorts of people with all sorts of expectations, not to mention the gawkers. It's a great place to be one of 250 naked people and thus blend into the crowd. Hedo is about---hedonism. Living Waters Spa is incredibly low key. It happens to be th eplace that my spouse feels most comfortable with social nudity. Take your choice. |

Posted - 04/02/2008 : 12:17:33 PM Of the three that you have mentioned, Orient Beach would be the best BY FAR. We have been there twice, and love the beach there. Club Orient is the nudist resort located there. St. Martin is a nice place to visit. As far as the Hedo's are concerned, we have been once(we won the trip), and don't plan to go back. Just not our cup of tea. We met some VERY nice people, but the atmosphere was a bit too much for us. Like tuffers said, they are not nudist resorts. More like adult playgrounds. Florida offers several nude resorts, as do several states in the South. A search here on the forum will turn up several. |

Posted - 04/02/2008 : 12:02:11 PM Best place for first timers would be Cypress cove in the Kissimmee, FL area or possibly Living Water Spas or Terra Cotta Inn in California.

Posted - 04/02/2008 : 11:29:54 AM If you are looking for a true nudist resort, from what I have seen on TV about Hedonism II III or what ever, these are not the places that I could recommend. If you are anything else------ |
