Posted - 01/27/2009 : 10:41:47 PM We have all read how we became nudists. either being raised or out of couriosity. But what about accident? That is how I came to find out I enjoyed it. Everytime I would skinnydip or play a stripping game. The freedom of being in my birthday suit was just awesome. |

Posted - 09/22/2009 : 8:48:07 PM Prior to my first experience at a nude club I must admit that I thought nudists must be pretty strange. However, since I realized that I too preferred being nude to being dressed, I was pretty strange too. It finally occurred to me that nudists are probably no stranger than I am since we share a common characteristic. I had to find out if associating with nude people would be to my liking. Well, of course I discovered what I should have realized all along. I love it, I'm a nudist; I enjoy being a nudist; I don't know why everyone isn't a nudist. There are many advantages. It suits me very well.

Posted - 09/22/2009 : 8:00:52 PM The way I sort of got started was when I was in high school. I never brought a second pair of underwear with me so when I got done with practice I go cleaned up and started going commando to avoid putting sweaty underwear on.At some point I realized I liked the feeling much better and started going commando all the time. This eventually led to me taking it a step further. It wasn't until I moved to Miami Fl for college that I started to participate in social nudity though. |

Posted - 02/03/2009 : 9:05:18 PM My wife and I became accidental nudist when we lived in S. Fl and did not know Haulover was a nude beach. We paid to park, brought all of our stuff, walked across the crossover, which was crowded with people going on to the beach and when we got to the end, we saw nothing but naked people. Well, we couldn't look like even bigger idiots and turn around, so we walked onto the beach and started walking. Long story short, we found a spot, Wife took off her top for the first time and then in about an hour or so I "lost" my shorts and by the end of the day we were enjoying the new experience and we both never looked back.

Posted - 02/02/2009 : 10:07:07 PM There are some real good points here. I have only been to one planned event. But the first time in a group was totally spontanous. me and an ex had gotten a hotel room with another couple. We went out to dinner and then moonlight bowling the beer was flying and we started playing strip poker then we just decided to all get naked and played cards and just ejoyed the freedom. |

Posted - 02/02/2009 : 5:57:16 PM Here's some hypothetical scenarios where someone could accidentally become a nudist:
- You're at the beach in an isolated or C/O area, trying to change into your bathing suit with a towel wrapped around you. A sudden gust of wind snatches the towel clean off of you. You make a dash for your towel. And when you catch up with it, you realize that you've been running all over the beach completely nude.
- You're at home, diving in and out of the pool in your loose fitting swimtrucks. After a particularily daring plunge, you resurface and realize your swimtrunk are no longer on you.
- You're at home still, vacuuming the house in your favorite sarong. The kids are playing hide and seek, running and chasing each other all over the house. One of the kids accidentally runs into you, and snatches your sarong clean off. As you chase after the kid and your sarong, you realize you've been chasing after the kids completely nude.
I guess those are all possible scenarios, and they've probably actually happened; but it takes a very special twist of fate to discover clothesfreedom that way. I'm sure what Rob G meant was more along the lines of stumbling into a nude beach or nudist get-together by accident. But I think most first-time experiences were planned experiences for most nudists.

Posted - 02/02/2009 : 02:14:53 AM I'm kind of curious about the "accident" part of this. I mean I played strip poker and went skinnydipping before I realized I was a nudist, too, but I kinda made a choice to do those things.
The accident was was happening to have parents who were friends with other parents that were cool with giving my friend, Jenny and me baths together when we were toddlers (which gave us a great idea on how to keep our clothes clean). The strip poker and skinnydipping reminded me of my childhood.

Posted - 01/29/2009 : 8:36:11 PM In some ways, since thoughts are mostly random, it might be that most of us are nudists by accident. Accidents of random chance leading us to be nude when most are not so lead. We just happened to act on fleeting thoughts, while others disciplined themselves from trying.

Posted - 01/29/2009 : 5:26:58 PM Not me, personally, but Glen Eden in Southern California is one of the largest nudist clubs and it's right next to I-15 on the way to San Diego. At the off-ramp before the GE turnoff, there is a hot spring resort (mud baths, etc.) named Glen Ivy. Some people miss their turnoff and show up at Glen Eden's gate instead of Glen Ivy's. I've been told that they have gotten a few new members that way.

Posted - 01/28/2009 : 5:52:32 PM My experience was a little different......I went to a deserted beach one day close to my home, that has a lot of small dunes on set back from the water. Seeing there was no one around, I set my things in one of the shallow dunes & undressed & thought as no one was there I would pile on the sun tan lotion before pulling my shorts on. Just as I was finishing rubbing it all on I turned around to see another guy standing there completely naked. He just said good morning & asked if there were many nudists came to the beach. Rather than cover up, I stood there & chatted with the guy who told me his wife was just around the corner & would I like to join them. Long story short, I spent the next couple of hours with them naked & it felt great. I must admit the first few moments were difficult & a little embarressing due to an unwanted errection, I explained to them that I had never done this before & they were very understanding. After that day, I met the couple several times & they went on to introduce me to other people in the area that loved to be naked, it didn't take long to become fully converted. |

Posted - 01/28/2009 : 12:44:16 PM I don't know if it was an accident or necessity.
I got divorced in 1992 and bought a Mobile Home. At the time I worked 2nd shift. In the summer, when I got home, the trailer was HOT! Like 120+ HOT! With a fan in the window at one end and open windows at the other, it took about 2 hours to cool off. The only way to survive was to strip off and hit a cold shower. I discovered I was more comfortable if I just stayed nude after the shower. |
