Posted - 01/13/2004 : 12:02:27 PM I was reading in my local paper yesterday that patrons of a bar are not allowed to sing in the nude, because the town feels "it would cross the line into adult entertainment." The owner of the bar has sued the town, and right now people are singing in pajamas and underwear while the judge makes a decision. Any thoughts on this?

Posted - 01/21/2004 : 8:24:48 PM I believe it's a bar in Connecticut. This could be wrong, though.

Posted - 01/21/2004 : 7:47:51 PM While perusing today's paper in Philadelphia I found an article about nude karaoke. This must be a big topic if it's making the Philadelphia Inquirer! The best part of the article, in my opinion, was the last line: "A superior court judge has asked to see briefs in this case before making a decision." Boy could that be interpreted two ways! Here's the link, which also has a video segment (when I went to i the sound was broken, though):

Posted - 01/21/2004 : 10:43:58 AM I like your idea tucsonnude about a tv show, showing nudists doing normal everyday things. I think though with our liberal media, they would find some way bring sexuality into it, or find some nudist to interview that was a fruitcake.

Posted - 01/21/2004 : 10:35:15 AM Nude Karaoke was started at a non nudist venue to bring in customers. Another "bar" was letting woman strip in non strip bars for the same reason. Although I don't condone the latter bringing customers with non sexual nudity is ok. And too if a "bar" owner is unknowingly showing people the ordinary side of nudists. That is to say what nudists do that textiles do only nude. I hope this and some other "stunts" will show non nudists that we are just like them. Just don't like to be dressed as much as they do. A nude tv show of some kind would be great. Cooking show(martha stewart nude? not). I just hope each of us can do something to show others we are normal..and just prefer not to be dressed..24/7 |

Posted - 01/18/2004 : 2:20:03 PM After a while all the bodies would be slipery with oil, can imagine the last two would really have a time just holding on to the chair.

Posted - 01/18/2004 : 09:36:01 AM I think this is one time at which the nudist etiquette of sitting on a towel is abandoned, bornnude. Kim, I think towels and powder would defeat the purpose of the oil... you can't slip all over if you aren't slipping directly into the oil!

Musical chairs in the nude? I'll have to ponder that one!
One of the good things (but somewhat bothersome at times) is an active imagination.
After reading this, I pictured a circle of chairs, a circle of unclothed people, towels tossed over their shoulder.
The music stops. The people grab their towels, stretch them out, lay them across the chair, then sit.
Makes for rather slow motion musical chairs. May be entertaining to watch however, wouldn't want to play. Never was any good at that. |

Posted - 01/17/2004 : 1:24:56 PM The oiled chairs might get a little messy after a while. I would assume all the chairs would have towels on them. Maybe if they were powdered where the towel would slip off with you.
