Posted - 04/21/2004 : 10:45:54 PM hi there, i have been invited by some friends to spend 5 days at a naturist resort in the carribean. i am a bit apprehensive, but undeniably excited about experiencing it. i am wondering how other people, especially those who have been involved in the nudist community for a long time, will feel about my tattoos, i have quite a few, including a half sleeve which covers my left arm from shoulder to elbow. they are all very tasteful and well done, especially my sleeve, which i designed and believe (and have been told by many) is an impressive work of art. will people find it offensive at all? i hope not, but i'd like to know ahead of time how i might be treated because of it. thanks y'all. |

Posted - 04/28/2004 : 5:18:46 PM Personally, I will never have a tatoo, but on others I see no problem, recently I was in awe of of a tatoo running down one side of a swedish girls body (torso and leg as I remember), all flowery and in pastel colours. To me it looked like wearing clothes without!. It turned out after spekaing to her and her boyfriend/husband she was friends with the tatooist, otherwise it would have cost an arm and a leg, so to speak.
Shame they don't have any photos' anywhere, if they are reading this forum then perhaps they will oblige.
Cheers,

Posted - 04/28/2004 : 03:52:01 AM You see a lot more tatoos now days, especially on young women. I don't think you will have any problem, seems to be more accepted.

Posted - 04/23/2004 : 12:12:43 AM I don't think any one really pays much attention to the tatoos, unless you have tatoos coving your body like that guy on Mad Mad House.

Posted - 04/22/2004 : 9:32:08 PM tronrock, Personally I'm amazed at the beautiful artwork done with tattooing (sp?) these day's. I've never heard of anyone taking offense to them in a naturist setting...I'm sure I don't have to tell you that you better slather suncreeen over 'em or else the color's will fade.

Don't worry, people will be ok with it. Trust me, you will see things you do and don't like there yourself. But nudists are not about that. We are about acceptance. We all have different tastes, likes and dislikes. But that's personal and what makes people unique. The botom line is, you shouldn't care or worry if people don't like your appearance. Some will and some won't. The main thing is that you like it.
You won't be treated differently for your tats. Lots of nudists have them.

Posted - 04/22/2004 : 01:48:33 AM I don't have a clue since i've never been to a resort or anything but my house ;) but, if they can't accept you because you have tattoo's, then, this is something they need to adjust to, not yourself. It is after all, a free country ;) (well, US and Canada :P ) |
