Posted - 01/22/2012 : 1:48:17 PM Let's get some stories going about the first time this year that you are out in public in the nude. I know that in the south that the stories may have already happened and that as the year goes by the northern regions will chime in. Just a couple of simple rules. 1) The person(s) must be nude 2) The person(s) must be in public. I do not mean streaking down the street, but in an acceptable nude location. i.e. group hot tub party, nude beach, C/O resort, driving nude (more than one person in the car), etc. Not acceptable events are walking to the mailbox after dark, Skinny dipping by yourself, sun bathing by yourself, etc. 3) It must have happened in 2012 4) If you experience the activity you can write about it but so state that it was not you. I'll start off with a story that happened the first week of January. I was in Barcelona Spain and I was booked in a very nice hotel that was at the end of the man made beach in Barcelona. I had been warned that there was a nude beach close by, but I did not think that it was just outside the hotel. One afternoon as I was walking to the metro stop for an scheduled appointment in town I noticed several groups of nude sunbathers on the beach. The temperature was only in the upper 50s, but it was warm in the sun and they were taking advantage of it. If I did not have to get to my meeting I might have joined them. I had heard that nudity in Spain is not against the law as long as it is appropriate. That leaves a lot to be said about where and when.

Posted - 05/24/2012 : 08:32:51 AM Last week I was in Portland, Oregon. One morning I "liberated" the hotel hot tub and pool, but that's not an official nudist resort. So on Saturday I visited Rooster Rock State Park, a C/O beach on the Columbia River near Portland. The spring river was high and cold. Water covered the sand island and most of the beach, but there was maybe 100 naked people out enjoying the trails and grass areas near the river.
In the parking lot, one family asked if there was a clothing required beach where their children would not be exposed to nudity. I directed them to the west end of the park. Only the east beach is C/O at that State Park. Their children would have enjoyed the beach where they were, of course, but educating parents was a job for another day. I just told them where to go. The beach in the middle of the park had a big crowd of sailboarders in thermal wetsuits. It was windy that day and their sport looked wildly exciting. In my younger days I might have been part of that excitement.
The east beach at Rooster Rock State Park is officially C/O. I followed a path through the woods to the far end of the park, a lovely naked walk. And then followed the water edge path back. I took time to chat with some other people I met there and found a bench to sit and read a good book in the sunshine. It was a good day on the river. |

Posted - 05/23/2012 : 9:19:25 PM My first time this year was last Sat. and it was an interesting sensation to say the least. After stripping in the parking lot and walking around I felt fine. As a matter of fact I hated to go home-I have to get a dog sitter. I am going to Laguna del SOl on the 2nd of June to see if I like it and maybe join the River Dippers. |

Posted - 05/23/2012 : 1:40:32 PM I'm sure we were out naked sometime before our annual trip to Palm Springs with our nudist friends but I can't remember exactly what we were doing. Most likely ... visiting our club, Glen Eden.
Loves being naked. Plays well with others! |

Posted - 05/23/2012 : 05:56:31 AM I was not anxious and nervous about going...I was anxious and nervous about NOT going. I had been couped up inside for too long and I couldn't wait to get outdoors. |

Posted - 05/23/2012 : 02:08:23 AM It's amazing, free2be, how the mind and nervous system can work against us. I guess each one is trying to protect us, but we have to assume an attitude before we go to a nudist venue. I just assume everything will be not exciting at all. Works for me!!

Posted - 05/20/2012 : 09:34:36 AM I know what you mean Warmskin...I was so anxious for my first outing that I was getting a little nervous about not getting my confirmation. |

Posted - 05/19/2012 : 11:51:11 PM If I don't visit a public nudist venue, be it a resort, ocean beach, or traditional Sierra Nevada river skinnydipping spots, I will go crazy. I've been cooped up for too long. It's getting nicer here in the Bay Area, and I will make a bee-line to a nudist place of some kind. I am anxious to go to some ocean beaches where nudity is practiced, and also try Secret Creek beach at Lake Tahoe, where the nudists are more friendly, and group-minded. Gotta make 2012 a nice year. Also the River Dippers (Sacramento-oriented) have wonderful events at various nudists' homes in the summer.

Posted - 04/09/2012 : 12:38:01 PM I generally don't go to Nudist resorts so I don't fit this category. I go outside naked in the woods and trails a lot, drive naked, and often meet or am seen by other people, but its not an official CO resort or hot tub party. |

Posted - 04/09/2012 : 09:36:43 AM IMO your not caught by freinds as they should know your a nudist or have a clue your caught by strangers. :) |

Posted - 04/09/2012 : 08:54:14 AM I too can hardly wait for the warmer weather to arrive. Usually by this point I have at least gone to one winter swim with a local club, but I have not been to any yet. Like rooftop, I've done some sunning on the back deck back in March when we had the 80 degree weather...but it was not public...although I did get "caught" by a friend. |

Posted - 04/08/2012 : 6:51:42 PM No stories for me so far. It's still too cold to go anywhere. My only nude time outside has been one drive and just being right outside of my own house, sneaking around as usual. |

Posted - 04/08/2012 : 1:59:29 PM bqdude1, that sounded like a perfect day. I hope one day here in Queensland, the politicans will be more liberal towards nudism. |
