My very first time nude was in college at a beach in Spain. Six girls went and I noticed one friend put on a coverup with no bikini top underneath. I asked my other friend and she said, "We go Spanish-style no tops." Myself and another friend were the new girls and had that "no way!" deer in the head lights look. We went we did it and it was GREAT. No more Houdini top tying, it took awhile for me to realize that I did not have to do nipple slip checks.
My kids saw us nude, but as my boys becam 5 y.o. I covered up. My husband and they would go hot tubbing nude in the backyard, but "It didn't seem right" and I did not want my angels getting mini erections because of me. I did not want to ruin them. AND I did not want a neighbor reporting me to child services.
After some encouragement from a new friend here I took of my top and the next time was nude and they cared less. My 10 & 12 y.o. boys glanced, but that is all. I felt so stupid. So go slow, but dont worry about your kids. Am I alone or have others done something similar? Jan |

My kids were 9 to 12 when we began being "nudists" and taking them with us to nudist venues. Before that we had been naked occasionally and casually but not all day. They never complained but none of them has become a nudist as an adult.
I was almost 50 before I was ever naked in front of my mother. She gave me one of her usual snide comments but I ignored it.

We have never had any children, but if I had they would have been raised as nudists. However, our neighbor brings her boys over quite often. They are both around 10-12 years old. They see me nude and their mom topless. The older boy has had one minor erection and we told him it was normal. They have no problem and neither do I.

My first time nude in front of older kids would probably have been when I was around 8 or 9. Every summer my family would have a reunion at this state park in New York that had a public pool. The locker rooms were an open concept, but surrounded by walls (no ceilings). You were supposed to take a shower before going into the pool. Most people would just step into the shower to get wet (while wearing their bathing suit), then exit the locker room and go to the pool. Some would shower after the pool as well, to wash off the chlorine. I remember seeing the older guys in there naked, so I decided to strip down and get naked too. I'd end up spending more time hanging out naked in the shower than I did swimming in the pool. |

I haven't been nude in front of my kids although they know of my lifestyle (both are in their 20's, boy and girl). I've never talked to them about it but I will next time...thanks to a discussion I had recently with BaltoBob. Who knows...they may even live this lifestyle too and until it is discussed openly...I'll never know how they feel about it. |

Well I've been through this over the last year or so with my step daughters( 14 yrs and 19 yrs).
We built a new pool deck and hot tub in the backyard and have been slowly introducing them to the fact that their mother and I enjoy being naked. It's been going very well for the most part, but, the youngest is starting to have some trouble with it.
We were kind of surprised by this because she was the one who seemed to accept it the easiest at first. Then my wife heard her and some of her friends talking about us being naked all the time. Unfortunately the "leader of the pack" thinks it's gross to see adults naked.
That explains why my step daughter is now uncomfortable with our nudity.
Hopefully as she get older she'll gain enough confidence to form her own opinions on things.

Two years ago I had a 50th birthday party for my wife and invited the whole family which are all non-nudists. I promised my step daughter that I would stay dressed if she would show up. It was a very hot day in July and I was grilling for over 100 people with shorts on. My brother-in-law finally came up to me and asked if I was staying dressed just for our daughter and if I was it was time for her to deal with it. The shorts came off!! She now visits us on a regular basis and got naked herself last summer. |

Willy we have a state park in Georgia like that except its on the lake, one day after swimming I went up to the bathhouse to change and discovered the open roof shower and changing area, I decided to strip and take a shower as I was showering a man walked into the shower with his three children a boy and two girls all four were dressed and wanted to rinse off when he saw me nude he asked if I minded the girls being there to which I told him I was Ok with them. I finished showering and got dressed. |

there is a state park that my family has their reunion at every year. there is a pool there with "open" showers. i say open because there is no roof. there are walls keeping it enclosed, but no roof. i used to shower there naked all the time. i had more fun in the shower just being naked outdoors than i did swimming in the pool. there were always older kids in there, as well as adults.

hey all, first off I should mention I am not new here. I am formerly "loves2bnude" I cant seem to get on that account for some reason. Anyway, I am not sure when I was first nude in front of older kids but last time i remember was at a friend of mines house at 13 years old and slept nude. Needless to say I forgot I was nude when I woke up and left the room nude. My friends mom saw me nude and her face turned about 10 shades of red. I wasnt in anyway embarrassed or anything. Later on in the day she pulled me aside to talk to me about it and we agreed that my nudity was ok at their house as long as i was comfortable. During the conversation she asked me why I liked being nude so much and I told her I really cant put it in words and she would just have to try it to see what I mean. She then asked me if I could give her an idea how to get over that initial fear of being seen so I told her what I did. What I did to get over it was took a shower and didnt take my clothes in the bathroom with me and the only towel there was was actually a washcloth so it would have just served me better to use it to dry and leave it in the bathroom and be nude. Later that day she did just that and loved it. My friend followed and then his brothers and last was his stepdad. I need to find a way to get to a resort or something this summer though. |

Introducing the kids to "Naturism" (nude) is a good thing. They will then have a choice to be nude or otherwise - at their choice. We're not into kiidie-porn, but, fun loving kids splasing in the water of a warm beach is so - GOOD! They are the true nudists. No concerns, no problems. Be - and, STAY Nude.

I discovered a nudist beach (in France) by total accident (see First Experience) and then visited it several times during my holiday. Unfortunately my wife would not remove her costume but my children did become aware of what was happening.
My children are now grown up and I have remarried. My new wife and I have had several naturist holidays and my children are aware of this; however neither of them have followed our lead. |

I think the first time I was aware of being nude in front of older kids (I was mid 30s) was at Blacks Beach. My g/f and I had put our blanket down near one of the trails down to the beach. Soon a bunch of teenagers (boys & girls age 16 or so)asked for help getting their stuff down off the trail. I was a little uncomfortable but my g/f said go ahead so I did. They dropped their stuff in front of us, stripped and ran to the water. We spent the rest of the afternoon with them. Everything was ok.

We are nude with our 5 year old daughter at home daily, and we take her clubs and resorts with us. She absolutely loves it.
We took some newbies with us to the club this weekend and it was her telling our friends that it was ok to be nude, and that the human body was beautiful. She told them there was nothing to be embarrassed about.
We are very proud of her self view and confidence.
Maybe there is hope yet for young people. We hope she stays that way.

Last year after my wife passed away I came out of the closet and became a social nudist. I spent as much time as I could at the local club and was nude at home whenever it was warm enough for comfort. I really enjoyed it.
After my step daughter accepted my invitation for her and her 10 year old daughter to come and live with me last fall I figured my clothes-free lifestyle at home would soon be coming to an end. I, of course, told my stepdaughter about my nudism, but I promised not to do anything to make her or her daughter uncomfortable.
Well, since then fate has smiled upon me in ways I never would have expected. Last June both the girls accepted my invitation to visit the club. For me it turned out to be as easy to be nude in front of them as it was to be nude in front of everyone else. Since her initial experience at social nudism the stepdaughter is not quite ready to return, but my granddaughter has turned into a nude junky. She accompanies me to the club almost daily. She has become very comfortable with being nude in front of strangers, and I think it has improved her self-confidence.
Another unexpected benefit for me has been that they both realized that there was no longer any reason to object to my being nude around the house. So, I was able to officially declare my home to be clothing-optional. Most of the time I'm the only one who takes advantage of the new designation, but that's okay with me.
In case it isn't apparent the point I want to make is that it is just as easy to expose your naked body to your family members, including children or grandchildren (or anyone else), as it is to do it before strangers. Think about it, why should it make any difference? What is everybody afraid of? This really is a case of having nothing to fear but fear itself.

Ron, this doesn't sound like the father is out of the picture. What you are suggesting, with an active parent in the picture, is a recipe for instant disaster for everyone involved. Having been through this kind of thing before, I suspect there are angles to this story you are leaving out. Still, regardless of where the child lives, it doesn't abrogate the rights of the father, nor lessen your vulnerability to legal action for doing something which can be seen in a poor light by the other parent or the court.
This discussion forum is rife with warnings of the consequences of similar actions. You would be well advised to seek them and heed them before trying this without the other parent's approval. From my perspective, this seems more about your desire to have it this way than the daughter's or her parents- and do notice the plural.
