Posted - 11/24/2014 : 10:24:13 AM Good day, Let us as Christian Naturists set an example of holy living according to God's word. Let's be a testimony to other naturists and to the textile world. Salt of the earth, lamps on lampstands, letters written by the Holy Spirit, spreading the fragrance of Christ our Lord. Be clean on the inside then the outside shall be cleansed too - according to Scripture. Have a blessed life in the Lord and enjoy your naturism. Peter

Posted - 04/17/2011 : 2:53:20 PM If you are uncomfortable nude, then put your clothes back on. When I can I work in the nude, sleep in the nude, and sometimes socialize in the nude. Sometimes I wear clothes, sometimes not. If the person I'm with is uncomfortable, then I wear clothes. What's the big deal? I'm sure Jesus Christ was comfortable with his nude body. I often read the Bible in the nude and so what.
To gain confidence I always heard: "Imagine the person sitting in his underwear." Funny, I had nothing on at all. |

Posted - 08/12/2009 : 02:22:14 AM Jesus mentioned that lilies were clothed better than Solomon, with all his royal wardrobe. A lily wears nothing, but is natural, and a person is natural, too. From that we can derive that clothing is not valuable beyond being protective of the elements. In Jesus' day, not wearing clothing was a sign of poverty, not sin.
If anything, overvaluing clothing is not a Christian precept. If you don't wear clothing, Christianity truly does not condemn it, but in fact, praises it, relative to fancy clothing that projects outwardly that a person is a good person when he is really a thief; thus a hypocrite.
If Christians ought not to admire clothing, then nudity is preferable, for true judgment does not factor in clothing, but rather what is in the heart of a person.
A clothed person who is dishonest is far worse than a nude person who is honest. If both are honest, there is no difference, except that the clothed person has more money. Clothing does nothing for character, but one's heart, head, and actions indicate everything. You can be clothed yet be naked with your actions and motives. The body can do nothing but what the mind and heart cause it to do, so the body is not evil, or good. It's the owner whose actions determine that. A beautiful woman can be truly ugly if her mind and heart are. Whether she is nude or clothed makes no difference.
This message is intended for uncomfortable Christians, and for those who ridicule true Christianity. It's time for both to think some more.
"The means of defense against foreign danger historically have become the instruments of tyranny at home." James Madison

To just keep it simple and to one point, I have felt close to The Lord while nude on numerous times. At a nude beach, to feel the sun and breeze on your bare skin and watch the rolling surf coming on, you realize there is a God. God created the sun, wind, and surf.

Hi everyone. I meant to add this in with last entry. Does anyone know why the Bible neither forbids nor encourages being naked? I think I know. I just wondered if anyone else knew before I say what's on my mind.

Posted - 08/03/2009 : 02:25:09 AM Recently I had a discussion on this subject with another sincere Christian who was very surprised to learn I was a nudist. I attend church regularly and participate in church-related activities. I've raised a family, and although my wife does not particiapte in my life style, we have a very good relationship based on mutual respect and good manners. I am a Christian and look forward to a "nude" Heaven. How else could it be? |

One of my favorite resources is Fig Leaf Forum. Registration and news letters by email are free. There are a lot of different resources there.
Also Experience Grace is a good resource, including hosting The Bible, Society and Nudity done years ago by Jeff Rockel.

Posted - 08/19/2008 : 02:31:14 AM Allow me to add a theological point in this thread. (I'm wondering if the word, "thread" is allowed in this forum).
From a Christians point of view, Jesus took the sins of Adam and Eve (mankind) to the cross. From this, we could say that the innocence of the Garden of Eden is regained, and that nudity is Godly once more.
If one accepts this, as a Christian, then a Christian should have no problems with wholesome nudity. At the end of the day, the Christian precept is to judge people by what they do, ("By their fruits shall you judge") as opposed to what they say, or what they say they do. Assuming Adam and Eve's innocence once more, what is the purpose of clothing, save for being in a cold climate?
If you are a caring and honest person, what is the problem of being nude or seeing someone nude in a wholesome setting?

Posted - 08/11/2008 : 4:43:21 PM Matt, I can recommend going to www.naturistsociety.com and click on Resources. There is a treatise called "205 Arguments in support of naturism." It includes some inferences to religion. Cheri
