Posted - 12/11/2003 : 02:41:47 AM Hi everyone I have been reading a lot about nudism and religion here. Many people have doubts if their religion prohibits them to go for nudism. I suggest, can we start a new religion by the name 'Nudism'??
You decide while I make some draft rules (does and don'ts in this new sacred religion. But characterstics first: 1. Nothing to hide - not even a single hair on body, no lies. 2. Freedom to join - No one to be pressed to join it. One can join it with his/her free will. 3. Clothes to be used to cover from cold and heat (bad weather) 4. No need to quit your present religion as its an ADDON religion. 5. This religion is above any caste, creed or culture. All have equal rights. 6. (more to be added) Now, RULES (does and don'ts)
1. Try to be true to your self 2. Try not to speak lies 3. Try to be decent 4. Spread the religion by word of mouth. 5. No religion to be critisised. 6. It should not be associated with sex. 7. (more to be added)

Posted - 05/17/2009 : 08:47:04 AM I am a committed Christian, and as one I realize that I have my own sinful behavior, like another human being,so I also realize that we can't expect other to be sinless, so yes Christian are flawed, but the teachings , and the life Jesus lived, and the sacrifice, He made to paid for man's sin, is not flawed. Now I believe the bible to be God breathed, and it states in the book of Genesis , that God created the man and woman naked, and it also says they had no shame. No were does the scripture stat, being naked is sin. the only time it mentions bad nudity, is when some one undresses someone else for a inappropriate sex relation, i.e. someone else's spouse, or you own family members,or outside of mirage. Now the bible also talks about not being a stumbling block to other, and practicing one's freedom in a way, that does not offend other. So I don't believe the teaching of the bible will rob us from our freedom to live clothes free, but don't expect the christian body to except you nude life style because, the atheist won't either. I am a christian , nudism, is my live style,by I live to share the good new,in hope people will receive it , and they by that have a blessed life here on earth, and a home in the coming Heavenly kingdom, for promoting my live style will have no value in the light of eternity. |

Posted - 05/11/2009 : 01:10:49 AM An old joke circulated around in the 1960s, during the Vietnam War. Perhaps some of you remember Madame Nhu. She was one of the powerful women in South Vietnam. She was said to have started a new religion, one that combined the religion of Vietnam and nudism. You guessed it; Nhuddism. Groan!

Posted - 09/11/2006 : 3:23:25 PM Well, Rahaul7009 has set up some rigid rules for his "Orthodox Nudism."
I am already a dissenter, however!
I believe God gave me a BEARD, naturally. A natural beard should naturally be within naturism, I think.
(God did not give me textiles, but then God didn't give me this computer either, yet I manage to tolerate it and many other things.) |

Posted - 06/28/2006 : 06:05:32 AM I don't want to have to wiat another 10 years before I'm free to be nude when I want. I should be able to get to a nudist beach without having to walk 4 miles across sand dunes! |

Posted - 06/27/2006 : 09:24:25 AM Every 10 years or so, we have a national census in the UK, and as I recall the section on religion allows you to put whatever you wish, and if enough were to put naturism we would legally establish it as a religion with all the rights confered upon such. In a free and democratic society we would be able to practice our newly established religion without discrimination, well thats the thoery anyway!!!

Even a prude has to be nude ........sometime!! |

Posted - 06/27/2006 : 07:39:18 AM Once we have the religion set up, we can then have the schism, splitting into the erectionists and the non-erectionists. Then we can have the Church of Home Nudism and the Church of Resort Nudists. Hell (sorry wrong word - we will have to have a split on nudist hell too (Arkansas)) I can even start my own Church of the Beachnudist. Now all kneel please. |

Posted - 06/26/2006 : 10:27:16 PM Just because, I looked up the word "Religion" in the dictionary.
They state:
1. 1. Belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers regarded as creator and governor of the universe. 2. A personal or institutionalized system grounded in such belief and worship. 2. The life or condition of a person in a religious order. 3. A set of beliefs, values, and practices based on the teachings of a spiritual leader. 4. A cause, principle, or activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion.
Particularly the last definition may apply.

Posted - 06/26/2006 : 4:28:31 PM can you only have one religion/belief? Jedi is an official religion, they have more rights than naturists. Religions don't ave to be about believing in a supiriour being, look at Buddism! So saying my religions are jew and naturist wouldn't be undermining either. But think of the social benifits of Naturism being an official religion! thats what it's all about. Now we just need to know how to make it so... a petition maybe? |

Posted - 06/26/2006 : 3:07:18 PM "Follow the rules or you don't make it to nudist heaven..lol.It seems that Everyone is programmed or brain washed to believe what every other nudist believes as far as nudism is concerned, and if they don't they are hung, or burned at the stake"....from Youngnakedman's posting.
I'm very pleased to see the possible options for not conforming all ALL nudist beliefs... when it comes to being burned at the stake or being hung.... I think any male nudist would gladly choose "being hung".

Posted - 06/26/2006 : 2:33:32 PM Interesting topic. Personally, I spent years as a born again Christian. I loved the idea of unconditional love and acceptance. Unfortunately, born again Christianity has way too many flaws and I eventually rejected it. The word religion comes from the latin word "religare" which means "way of life". So I think perhaps nudism is a religion and I love the idea that a person can experience total acceptance while engaging in nudism. |

Nudism is NOT a hobby to me. It's my lifestyle; I'm nude when possible, clothed when practical. I am also Jewish; that is my religion. I just happen to be a Jewish nudist as I live my life. Cheri

Posted - 06/26/2006 : 11:00:27 AM naturism is practically a religion already, we have a common belief that nudity is the natural way to be and we are worshipping every time we take our clothes off. but the real reason we should insist on naturism being classified legally as a religion is to benifit from all the perks religions get by law, respect being the first. the media can't have a serious debate about naturism without it turning into a mockery, but if naturism is a religion then they won't be able to joke and make fun of us. also we'd have the right to worship, so no more lawsuits because our bodies have offended an old con. infact if they disprove of us we can plead religious hatred! All the govs. around the world will be forced to accept naturists and give them rights as naturists. Imagine if all the naturists in the world got together to say naturism is our religion, its not just an hobby, its what we believe, naturism would be one of the largest religions in the world |

Posted - 05/05/2006 : 12:22:48 PM I agree with you, Stewart, this was initially meant to be with tongue in cheek. Nudity is really just a manner of living the life one has on this earth. Its tolerance of others and its appreciation of the freedom from restraints (whether imposed by oneself or by society) may have religious undertones, but could not seriously be considered spiritual in nature. Naturism does not address the answers provided by sincere belief in a loving, caring God, nor does it provide for eternity. But it is a clever idea now two years and six months old. |

Posted - 05/04/2006 : 7:00:14 PM Youngnakedman does seem to have a burr under his saddle about the rules..and obviously he did get "thrown out" which means he couldn't conform to the reasonable rules of social behavior necessary to maintain a non-threatening environment for family oriented nudist facilities. He admits that he was thrown out but remains vague on which rule he ran afowl of. I'm a single male and have been fortunate to be allowed to attend a landed nuidist facility quite often, without incident, and I don't feel it's a big strain to follow the simple rules that are common sense. Everyone has been very friendly...it doesn't happen on day one..you have to earn the comfort of others by your actions. I didn't "park" myself in the middle of the "regulars" there who have known each other for years. I minded my own business, was polite to everyone I met, and got to know people by participating in the pool volleyball games. Now when I go, they ask me to play and I know quite a few people. It's a lot MORE friendly and accepting, and actually has fewer rules than just about any country club I've ever been associated with. Let's face it..society NEEDS rules...that's why we have signs, contracts, cops, and courts. Not everyone seems to have the common sense to respect other people's property, privacy, and well-being. s
