Posted - 04/26/2008 : 10:17:10 PM There is a piece on nude vacations, with photos, on the front page of Sunday's New York Times Travel Section. Go to the online site to see the photos as well. The print edition shows a half-page photo above the fold of Hidden Beach Resort.
This is all quite remarkable, because it strongly implies that nude vacations and nude recreation have come of age in this country.
If you are planning a nakation this summer, you might see more of your friends...

Given the high public profile of climate and environmental concerns, maybe the confluence of "naturalism" and "naturism" is something to be encouraged? ! |

Posted - 04/27/2008 : 11:00:12 AM Aside from ending the article on a needlessly snarky note, Ms Higgins did a nice job, with a refreshing lack of snickering. I especially appreciate that she made a point of emphasizing the 'no public sex' policies of most resorts. That should be reassuring to potential first-timers.. |

You should email the author. I did that with another case a couple of years ago and got a nice response thanking me for the correction. |

Posted - 04/27/2008 : 07:54:54 AM Naturism seems to get confused so often with naturalism. While I actually like "naturist" the term "nudist" would at least cut down on the confusion. |
