Any feed back out there? The Good Bad or Ugly
Will be introducing my friend since high school to this lifestyle for the first time and my husband for the 2nd trip this year. Or are there better resorts in the San Fran area?
Thanks
Jo

Posted - 01/06/2024 : 11:53:03 PM Hi all:
In November 2023, Lupin Lodge was put on the market for sale, asking for $32.8M USD. I haven't heard anything since. Has anyone heard what's going on with this?

Posted - 10/10/2010 : 04:14:25 AM Not far from the formerly family nudist resort, Lupin, is The Sequoians. It's a small club, and it is very easy to meet people who will converse with you. It's also less expensive than Lupin ($35 for a single), while Sequoians is only $25 for a single.
The latter has a nice kitchen, in which you can make you own meals. On Saturdays, they have a potluck dinner. Their pool is nice and warm, relatively speaking. The membership fees are very reasonable. If you volunteer for work details, your annual fee is cut in half, after the first year is up.
So, if in the Bay Area, check out The Sequoians in Castro Valley, CA. (not named after Fidel Castro!!)
I had not known about the lifestyle situation at Lupin. I've only been there once, and I'm not all that observant as to what is going on around me. Thanks for the info, Chiefy!!

Posted - 08/10/2010 : 7:35:32 PM That's the problem with Lupin, it's often too quiet. You feel almost lonely during the week. Not sure how a resort manages that when they're under a 30 minute drive from a major metropolitan area...

Posted - 08/09/2010 : 02:16:25 AM I visited Lupin Thursday and Friday of this week past and it was very quiet. I was a little disturbed by the behaviour of one couple where the woman was kneeling over her man friend on the upper deck over looking the pool. I saw nothing more come of it and my wife who was visiting a resort for the first time didn't see it so I didn't make a deal of it. I was more concerned about sheltering my wife than anything else. Posted - 08/02/2010 : 11:56:19 AM I founds this: http://thepoliticalnaturist.blogspot.com/2010/05/lupin-lodge-in-erotic-lifestyles.html
I know the resort has struggled financially, so that may figure into the situation...

Posted - 08/01/2010 : 5:56:49 PM Old topic, but we need some information.
Lupin Lodge has recently been removed from association with AANR. There are reports of lifestyle groups holding sexualized events at this previously family-friendly resort.
If you have first hand knowledge of such activities, please PM or email admin@nudist-resorts.org with the information. We'll have to make a determination if Lupin Lodge currently deserves the designation as a nudist resort, whether family friendly or adults-only.

Posted - 08/28/2006 : 4:00:45 PM Are there any Lupin regulars on this site? I have checked out their website, but it would be nice to have spoken to some of the regulars. |

Posted - 02/27/2005 : 10:58:51 AM When my daughter and I were there in Dec. we watched the wild deer that graze in the area (Doe and her lil ones, so cute). And also had a visting VERY Friendly cat in our tent all night.
Its a very nice place when its empty, I am sure it would be even better in the summer with more people there!

Posted - 02/22/2005 : 2:52:45 PM Have you considered a day trip to the Kiva Retreat? It's a clothing optional spa within the city limits of Santa Cruz. It's a great place to be naked. Large sauna, massage, sun decks and hot tubs with a nice atmosphere. |

Posted - 02/20/2005 : 4:46:56 PM Laguna Del Sol is towards Sacramento (http://www.lagunadelsol.com), so may be too far away. I'm between both locations, so it works for me. |

Sounds like a nice place. Any other suggestions in the area would be appreciated. But close cause gonna be hanging with brother and his family, don't wanna have to drive to far, since thay are not of the same lifestyle.
Thanks again!

Posted - 02/07/2005 : 10:09:54 PM I agree with Cheri, give them a call. The always answer the phone, but email is another thing...
I like the environment there. I was there on Friday. There were around 8 men and 2 women. On the weekends that ratio gets better, particulary during the summer, and kids are more likely. It feels more like a family type of place when there's children about.
