I am a "closet nudist" about to try coming out. The closest resort to me is Turtle Lake in Michigan. I am a bit shy and thought I'd try going during the winter-off season. It is supposed to have nice indoor facilities. I am also trying to persuade my girlfriend to join me for the day, or over night.
Anyone been to Turtle Lake, and what can you tell me about it. Website and all I've heard it good, but would like to hear from those who have been-or go there. Alsao, any tips for a first-time, shy nudist wanabe? |

Went over the weekend had a good time playing water volleyball and at the dance. Then 4:30 pm Sunday came around. And had to put clothes on that sucked. Other than losing my sunglasses had a great time. As far as my sunglasses that's normal. But rather than get dressed and ask where the closet dollar tree was I just paid extra and bought some at the office . The whole idea of week end was to be naked. |

Hoping the weather is good August 9,10 and 11. We are planning on camping here that weekend. I see on the 10 TH they are having a western dance. And on the 9 TH is game night.

Went today. the weather was great. The new conversation pool is awesome. Plan on going for a couple of days in August. |

Was at Turtle Lake yesterday for the first time this year. They replaced the conversation pool over the winter. The new one is very nice, large concrete patio with lounges, small tables and chairs, and a Tiki bar (probably only open on weekends). Can't wait to return. |

Palms 4!? We just reserved #4 for April 20 weekend. Hope the temps are warmer by then> Planning on going to the party on Saturday night, besides using the pool and hot tub. Hope it's warm enough to walk around outside. Since my original post, I have been to TL a few times, as well as several other locations in MI, IN, VA, FL, and HI. I'm not very shy any more! My new wife and I really love it!

I know it is categorized as family friendly, but on weekends in the summer are there normally other kids around? It means alot to my 8 yr old... |

I have been to four nudist resorts in the area and Turtle Lake is by far my favorite. Nice place, and I'm comfortable there. Check it out sometime! |

Good luck nude gerdener with your maintainence problems but at least you have job security. Think of all the perks that you get when the weather is hot. Think of the savings you are getting not having to buy clothes for you and your wife. I thought I had a great job but you have got it made too. I have never been to turtle creek but sometime we will come for the day . I would like to meet you and see your club.Try to keep warm .

It was -17 when i got up this morning but we are all the way up to -9 right now, a heat wave..lol..
We are able to keep our place pretty warm, we have two furnaces, one in the main house and another one in the addon room. It is just a matter of how much propane we want to use. They have actually left the heat up this week in both the pool and clubhouse area, it's been over 70 all week. The hot tub has been real hot as well. The heater for the pool brokedown earlier this week but they got it replaced yesterday so the pool should be ok today.

Its a balmy 9 degrees in west Michigan at this time. I'm seeing it's -15 near you. Are you keeping warm? Has your furnace stopped running since Tuesday? How warm is the pool area and lodge in these cold temps?
