Posted - 01/06/2010 : 09:26:59 AM I'd like to hear from anyone who has info re. SS. Their web site is miniscule and under construction. Rate structure, facilities, nearness to city, size of resort, rules, etc. Thanks. |

Posted - 05/25/2010 : 07:10:53 AM Hi Chief, Is the information I got when I phoned accurate then, about solo males wanting to visit Sunny Sands? Any information would help thanks. I have gotten conflicting reports on this. Jim |

Posted - 05/18/2010 : 10:25:17 PM My wife and I are members and we love the place. No it's not Cypress Cove but it's a great little resort.
Most people are retired and many have military backgrounds. I served for 20 years myself so we have a lot in common.
There is a bar and a restaurant with good food from a limited menu. Every Friday night and Saturday night there are people at the bar and having a good time.
This is a nudist establishment with families and you will see one or two kids at the pool from time to time. I like the family atmosphere. We have been to more upscale places where my wife and I are turned off by all the "swingers". Don't get me wrong, in the evenings we like to tear up the dance floor but we go home with each other.
There are tent camp sites, camper sites, and 5 mobile homes that can be rented for the night at very reasonable prices.
As far as the website goes, it's really sad and not a very good resource for what this place has to offer.
There is also 9 golf holes around the lake. Not really a golf course as there are no greens but there nothing like playing nine holes wearing nothing but shoes, a hat, and a smile!
Overall a smaller venue with lots of happy couples that enjoy life and nudism.

Posted - 01/26/2010 : 08:05:06 AM If you're looking for beaches, try Haulover beach near Miami. Also, Playalinda and Apollo beaches are a bit further north near Canaveral National Seashore. |

Posted - 01/25/2010 : 6:27:52 PM Hello all, We r getting excited- our Florida vacation to Disney, universal studios is right around the corner... We r gonna be at cypress cove during our stay, and just hoping for any last minutes heads ups. My son is 9 and we will probably visit another resort or beach, since I've got to drop off apps in ft lauderdale, I was hoping some members most knowledgable about Florida would advise us on a great family friendly beach and/or resort... Any with lots of families mid February? Thanks! ...I wasn't sure where best place to ask, let me know if there is better forum for my question- |

Posted - 01/08/2010 : 05:21:49 AM You could also check out the nudist resorts around the Tampa area. There are about 15 of them in Pasco County. You can log onto nudistparksUSA.net and click on Florida on the map, or type in the area code. It will bring up all the nudist resorts in the area. Many of them accept solo males. |

Posted - 01/07/2010 : 08:22:46 AM When I first moved to Florida, I was thrilled to see that Sunny Sands was only about 45 min. from my house. However, when I called them inquiring about their policies, I was informed they do not accept solo males unless your AANR card has a nudist club name on it (meaning you are a member of another club). From what friends tell me, it is quite old and rustic. It is also small, but it does have a place to eat, a pool, and some other recreational facilities there. |
