As stated in the event report from June's first pool party of the summer that we'd be back to enjoy Mindi & Bob's hospitality on August 23rd...well we did and had an even greater time if that's possible. People arrived from Florence to Graniteville, SC and all points in between. The liquid sunshine stopped early enough that a number of water volleyball games could be played. I'll be uploading a couple of the photos to the Yahoo group that is only available to actual members.
Zoie & Zack, who just returned from Youth Camp in NY, were again great ball chasers.
There was a huge variety of snacks, and I don't think this club has ever had as wonderful a potluck. Ray's ribs were yummy as was everything there including desserts.
Since the proceeds from the auction that donates to the AANR Ed. Foundation, NAC, the ANRL, and Sistercare, some of the bidding was minimal, it was suggested by an active member to postpone its conclusion on those items that did not get much bidding. I thanked her for the suggestion. Below are the items that will be available to be bid on till September 2nd.
Next weekend, we'll be re-visiting Carolina Foothills for Labor Day weekend.
On Sat., Sept.6 is our annual Patriot's party fish fry (we may do shrimp) and calendar affirmation at our place. On Sept.20, we'll be re-visiting Terry & Paul's in Camden for a pool party and potluck lunch. Please let me know if you'll be attending these events.
