We are going to the C/O beach cove in GLN second week of October. Wondering if someone here had been there or going to be at that time in the resort or near it.

If you've read any of the travel forums lately it's been very chic to talk about Grand Lido Negril in the past tense, as if age and the ownership transitions have left it a shadow of the resort it once was. A little like cruise ships, there are high-end all-inclusive resorts around Negril that are always newer, bigger and with more cache. But I suggest that you ignore the somewhat exaggerated criticism and- particularly if this is your first visit- enjoy Grand Lido in its existing state prior to all the planned renovations.
