My wife and I do not hide our lifestyle. I was working in construction when we became interested in nudisum and I realy didn't care if people know. Although she worked at a bank her feelings were the same. I now work for the locale county government but I still feel the same. We are even open of this lifestyle at church and there has never been a problem. There were times our opennes embaresed our daughters but they have lurned to deal with it. I believe if you're open you not only advance acceptance of nudisum but if there is now secret to keep there is no secret for someone to let out of the bag.

Strange how things change! More people now know that I prefer to be nude when ever possible. I am willing to talk to anyone that might ask questions though. |

Didn't really have much reaction. Spent yesterday at Turtle Lake Resort and they both knew about it. Right now I'm thinking it was "too easy" and I will have to confront some issue with one or both of them in the near future. It would be so much easier if my wife was on board. |

Not really a 'closet' nudist, but not everyone needs to know. If I get the chance to be nude I will be. Some of our friends know about it and some have no issues with it and some well... just say they are on the other side of the fence.
Some people just do not understand that it is just a different life style and we are happy with it. |

My first cousin and her family let us know they knew we were nudists and go to nude beaches this past Christmas. We are going to be on a camping trip for a week and a half at the same time they will be at Disney. She told me at the family July 4th party if we would be in the area they would come stay a night with us but I whispered to her that she may not like the dress code where we will be staying. LOL

Opening up more on both fronts ... mine and my wife's. Spent a few days with close friends on a getaway. She noticed something I did on FB and asked about it. It had to do with our club's home page and me "liking" something. She asked about it, I gave her an general answer and then said, "when we can sit down and explain it ALL to you, we will." She replied ... "I'm looking forward to that."
This friend has made some negative comments in the past regarding simple nudity but then ... she's made some comments about "not being able to wash dishes naked anymore," "with our new live in guest, can't do the house work naked anymore," and recently ... the wind was blowing her dress up and she grabbed it, held on to it and looked at me and said ... "probably a good thing I wore underwear today!"
So ... according to my wife, she's being funny but just may be trying to tell us something. Who knows .. we'll find out soon!

If I am a closet nudist, then my wife is a "locked box tucked away in the back of the closet" nudist. |

I'm now out of the closet, retiring from the military has been good for me. I still don't bring it up unless someone else does in the conversation.

I would say closet. But I have loved being nude outdoors ever since I was a kid. I remember stripping off my clothes and swimming in a creek behind my parents house or hiking through the woods along the creek . It felt so good. I go nude now when ever I can but usually in the backyard swimming or laying in the hammock . I live is a subdivision and houses are close plus there aren't any fences around any backyards. I mostly go out there at night, but have during the daylight once. |

I am a new-born-again closet nudist.
Though I doubt I will be severely shunned by my friends and family, I personally feel like my naturist interests will only be mocked and construed as a 'problem'.
It is difficult for me to admit that I find it spiritual, comfortable, and well...natural.
Despite my secrecy, I hate the idea of hiding my nudism like it's some sort of deformity (such is the life in many parts of our world). Maybe someday I can simply mention it without fear, like pointing out the weather or something...?
Only time will tell, I suppose. |

I am kinda of a closet nudist, my mother (who is strict christian and thinks nudity is a sin) knows i have a interest i nudism but thats it even my 2 older sisters(41&44) and younger half brother(30) don't know,lol

Everyone has the right to live a lifestyle that is comfortable-its gods given right. My frustration with society, everyone has the right to freedom of speech.My freedom of speech allows me to say and think for the most part to say what I want. It is difficult to be honest and passionate about what we believe is pure and innocent. Which is to live open and free, nude or otherwise. We will always have someone who will disagree as it relates to their own beliefs. If we remain mindful stead fast and press our beliefs on others our freedom will come in time.
