How much of your daily business do you conduct in the nude?

I could have gotten my gov't bosses in a lot of trouble if I reported to the press that I was working in the nude for the gov't. LOL

Actually, I was just throwing out an idea for other kinds of working in the nude. Modeling just came off the top of my head while typing my last post. There might be some Internet articles about modeling, I would think. Might feel a bit strange the first few times, but so was my first visit to any kind of nudist resort.

I'm with SailawayBob!! Always the idealist, which I like.

I have to confess, I've done both federal and county work in the nude! Really!! Naturally, the work was at home, and temporary in nature. I did contract work. Little do they know. It's all quite legal. I don't work for them anymore, but I laughed about this all the way to the bank (didn't earn that much, though). I'm trying to think of something else I could do both nude and legally - nude modeling for an art class???

not sure what employer would allow a employee to be nude other than a nudist resort and actually some require the employee to be clothed but wouldn't it be great if we had a society that wasn't so hung up on nudity that you could't go to the bank, grocery shopping or to the library nude. i know there is a nude city (spain i think) but it would be great especially in beach communities where public nudity was acceptable .

Little has changed since my last post, with the exception of my wife retiring. Life here is and has been conducted nude whenever possible. Since it's just us and has been just us for over 20 years, we've continued to conduct all daily business in the nude with certain exceptions.

We've had to put on clothes to conduct business with outside vendors and contractors but when the work is being done and it's being done outside, we are naked inside. On many occasions the contractor has come to the door and knocked or come to the sliding glass door and knocked and I'll slip on shorts to go and address their questions. Once done, I close the curtain and slip off the shorts.

My wife, since retiring, conducts all household business while naked. She pays bills, talks on the phone to various companies, the bank, family, friends, shops online ... whatever can be done while naked, she's naked. For us, it's just a normal way of life.

Loves being naked. Plays well with others!

I think if there were not so many laws making public nudity illegal most people would conduct things like getting morning paper, getting the mail, accepting deliveries etc all in the nude.

Since I am a nurse, I think the hospital would likely frown upon me walking around the ER naked. But I only work 2 days a week right now, So I do spend my other days mostly nude at home. So I guess you could say for my "mom" and "housewife" business I conduct naked:)

Even though I do work from home a few days out of the week, I do not like to conduct business in the nude. I try to keep a business like atmosphere so that I can stay focused. It is easy to get distracted and off task with what I do, but I would love to be nude if not for the above reasons.

Hi, I'm a potter and after reading a few of these posts I decided to throw a few potts nude. What fun, but messy. Clean up was easy though, with no hair the mud just rinsed off. My pottery is in the city but people can't REALLY see in I may have to do it again

hello Barefootguyinco. You said you would like to hire nudist friendly employees. Are you located in Canada?
If so, I would be interested in working for you. I enjoy working nude as often as I can. It is hard to find anyplace where you are allowed to work nude at all.

I will be unavailable until October, but will you be hiring anybody then?

If you are located in Canada, I am willing to relocate for the chance to be able to work nude.

I can be contacted at Willem@cogeco.ca. Thanks, yours, Hamilton Nudist, Andrew Lewis

Why is asking potential employees if they are nudist-friendly illegal? It's your company. You are just setting a clothing-optional office dress code. You need to inform potential employees so that they are aware. Then its their choice. Employers routinely set office dress codes. Unless you are in food services or are doing welding, I don't see the problem.

Randall, there are some signs like that which would help notify others. You can see some on Amazon at: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=nudist+sign&x=0&y=0 . I previously purchased the 'Nudist Zone' sign and plan on buying some more soon.

As for working nude, I currently work from home so can work clothes free as often as I want. Plus we live on 4 acres and have a pretty private backyard and shop, so I can be nude outside and in the shop when it's warm enough.

But I may be hiring again soon and wish I could ask potential employees if they are nudist friendly, without breaking any laws. Would love to have all my employees be nudists, then we could have a clothing optional workplace, since we don't deal with the public. ACTUALLY, I do have one person who contacted me about employment and this person is also a nudist. I found out as he mentioned he was headed to a nudist hot springs facility around here and we got to talking about it. So hope to hire him for starters.

Body shame, like prejuduce, is not natural. It is learned from others and benefits no one.

I spend most of my time at home working on the computer completely nude. It's a great way to go. I go downstairs for lunch or coffee and step out for a smoke now and then on my back patio. I stroll around my garden and do some light yardwork before going back up stairs to continue work. Only once about two years ago did my neighbor open my side gate and walk in on me. He wanted some of my fresh tomatoes which I hand out to the neighborhood. No problem. I handed him the tomatoes - no one said a word. Wish we could post a sign: Nudist at Work. Nice to give a warning.

To gain confidence I always heard: "Imagine the person sitting in his underwear." Funny, I had nothing on at all.

Today was a great day for me at work. I do renivations now adays from plumbing to tiles to decks and interlocking stone....
Today I was working at an empty house out in Pelham on Highway 20, with my boss laying some tiles during the morning. He had to go to Niagara Falls to complete another job, so he left at 11am. It was such a beautiful day I thought Hey.. No one around, so...

I took off my t-shirt and pants (I always go commando)and started working on laying the sub floor in one of the rooms. Here I am measuring, cutting, and screwing down all the subfloor completely naked. I had all the windows open so the cross-breeze was so enjoyable. Since the house was being completely remodeled there were no curtains on any of the windows but they were all mid chest high so all anyone would see is that a man was working with no shirt on.. Very common. The Living room has a large bay window that starts about 20 inches from the floor and looks out at the driveway (and Highway 20), so I stayed out of there But I had to pass through the corner of it to get to the kitchen where all the screws and battery charger is, but I figured that since the cars are moving fast I would not be seen. The kitchen has a patio glass door that leads to the back yard which is also visiable to the side road.

I spent 5 hours working in the nude laying all the new subfloors and then cleaned up the sawdust and wood scrap when I realized that the garbage pail was 4 feet outside of the patio doors! Well I already had a handfull so I took a quick glance out the door, didnt see anyone so I went out and dumped it in the pail. It took 5 trips to get all the mess cleaned up. I know it was a bit risky to go outside to dump all this into the pail but I did glance first each time.

Well I saw the boss turning into the driveway so I hurried up and got dressed. I then gathered up my tools and called it a day :).

Now if only I could work ALL the time in the nude, Going to work wouldn't be so bad.. (and I wouldn't have to worry about the stupid workers' tan lines...
