Hi,

Is permissable to ask people about there body piercings in a polite educated way? I saw two people today with piercings one lady had her nipples pierced and the guy had his forskin pierced. Both looked like they hurt like H%%$$#%. So would this be no no or is it o.k.?

Stealer

Welcome to the site, that was what I assumed / hoped most people would do. One guy took that approach, the next guy did not. Didn'tt hink it would be taken as a come on.

Cheers, Steve.

I'm new here, and I realize the original post is several years old, but as someone who has a couple of body piercings, I'd be more than happy to answer any questions about them if someone were to come up and ask, especially if they're considering getting a piercing of their own for the first time. Just as many nudists and naturists like to promote nudism in a positive manner, I'd like to be a good ambassador for the pierced community as well.

Steineri, I didn't think of it as being taken as a come on but I see your point given the location, we are both naked etc. Yes I may talk to someone who does piercings, good suggestion. Regarding people with piercings at a CO beach not being the shy type, are any of us that shy, .....we are at the beach in a public place naked and often walking along the beach not just laying down in the sun away from others. Multi pierced here for almost 30 years and questions don't bother me. Have educated many curious folks about the process....It is so common now that seldom am I at a nude event without seeing other pierced folks, although none usually have as much hardware as I do...In June I rode in the New Orleans Naked BIke ride and several spectators made mention to their friends about all that JEWELRY on that guy on the red bike! It bothered me not at all....

Not sure now.

Depending on the location, I could see why it might be misinterpreted as a come-on.

I would say that if you're curious, and want a judgement free opinion, go to a piercer and talk to them

I would say the fact they were naked in a public setting would probably give you a pass to ask about them. Could be a good ice breaker! I would not go up and grab them, by any means, but I would use the same rules one would asking someone about their tattoos

I could never consider body piercings. My natural body is good enough. Adding ornaments to it is almost an admission that one's completely natural body is not sufficiently beautiful. Just my humble opinion.

I got my nipples pierced several years ago. I started out with thin small rings, but over the years I've stretched them out and now wear large and quite noticeable shiny rings. I have had several comments such as "Nice rings" which I enjoyed as much or more than any other affirmative comment on my appearance.

I have also worn a non-pierced penis ring from time to time. As a straight man I remember more when a female notices and says something positive about my body and my choice of clothing or ornaments. I suppose the same rules would apply to females with body piercings. They don't want to be "hit on" all the time, but do want to be noticed and appreciated. Anyone who has gone through the trouble and some pain to adorn his or her body, and then is out naked showing it to the public, will enjoy favorable comments.

Carpe Diem!

That's true ... I didn't think it was necessary to post an entire conversation or hypothetical conversation to get to the point!

Actually, I know some who are shy and retiring. But as someone mentioned, if you do it in a respectful way it's not a big deal. However, I would not have it be the first thing I'd say after "How do you do?"

I have to agree with Diger ... nudists that have genital piercings ... are most likely more than willing to answer questions about them.

I find it hard to believe that there is a social nudist, with genital piercings that are noticible and are the "shy" type and don't want anyone asking questions about their piercings.

I'd just ask, "I noticed your piercings, I'm thinking about doing that, can I ask a few questions about yours?" Even if you're NOT thinking about doing it! LOL

be careful, they are usually shy and retiring types.......

Live love and have fun

Most people that get a piercing, esp a genital piercing are not the shy type. If you have a question and as long as you are respectful, I don't see a problem in asking them.
