What are the general thoughts on loin cloths? Thinking about getting one for hiking and maybe general wear. The ones I have seen online, all seem to be 'tacky' and not for everyday wear.
Home made or purchase one online?
I would rather not have to wear one at all, but there are time that this might be the best bet!

you can just go to a fabric store buy some fabric and some twine- string and there you go, I made one years ago when boating and got some odd looks but I doubt i'd got in trouble as even though I was nude I was covered .

I tried Internet searches and failed. Almost all 'loin cloths' shown weren't to me loin cloths. The typical homemaker of my youth could easily make one.

Yes I have looked at some sites, but they seem to be more costume type, not daily wear! I will keep looking, there has to be something out there.

I'm not sure where I'd even wear one. If I'm hiking and want to hike nude, there is a club south of us about two hours that abuts a State Park where hiking naked or being naked is not illegal. We tend to go there for naked hiking.

Locally, there is our club that has a couple of trails and then a neighboring club that has several miles of fire roads and trails where you can hike naked without hassle. Just not sure where I'd use a loin cloth otherwise.
