Posted - 08/22/2012 : 4:06:30 PM many of our customers write us back after buying our personal shavers. The top reasons that we've found are: 1. it's more hygienic to be shaved, and reduce odor 2. it's become part of grooming. so we say fashionable 3. there's a sense of freedom when you're not cover with hair

Posted - 08/19/2012 : 8:58:27 PM According to the majority of society ... "we" nudists are "unnatural!" To mainstream society ... we are the ones that are out of place and out of touch with reality because we prefer to be nude.
WHY is it that a simple thing like shaving one's pubic hair STILL gets debated and argued about within the naturist/nudist circle???
Why is it that "we" naturists/nudists continually banter with one another about issues and topics that really have no relevents to who we are and what we do?
A statement like ... "full smooth looks unusual, unnatural ... " is like saying ... ALL people who ride motorcycles and especially Harley's are nothing more than thugs and gangsters...
Stating one's opinion is different than making a statement about what someone does that might be different than you do or prefer. Referring to someone as "unclean, unnatural, unusual, childlike ..." may be your opinion but that type of opinion should not be leveled here, on a nudist/naturist site where we are supposed to be more accepting of one another than mainstream society is of us!
Loves being naked. Plays well with others! |

Posted - 08/19/2012 : 5:18:38 PM Unnatural? Why? If we wish to shave our body hair, let us do so freely. Those who do so including Mrs Tuffers and I should be able to and do so without having a debate about it. It is called freedom of choice which we enjoy in the UK. Is the USA not meant to be a "free" country?
I think there are more important things to worry about in this sick world without rambling on about whether some one may look "unnatural" by shaving their pubic area!!! Please get a life.

Posted - 03/08/2007 : 09:45:13 AM I enjoy shaving my body completely smooth for the same reasons as others have stated. I like the way I look, and I enjoy the way it feels. Without a layer of hair, stepping or diving into a pool of water becomes an intensely pleasurable experience that is impossible to fully describe in words. Applying suntan lotions and oils is a source of pleasure, not a duty. And yes, I find being shaved heightens my erotic feelings to levels that I had seldom experienced before I shaved. Still another reason for shaving is one that others have not mentioned. I must shave so that I can wear a micro g-string to the beach.
Unfortunately there are no nude beaches within commuting distance from my home. But there is a beach within driving distance that allows thongs and g-strings. Thongers and nudists share many things. In fact many thongers become nudists when the opportunity arises. Still the one major difference between the groups is attitudes toward pubic hair. Nudists are free to shave it, shape it or let it go natural. In the thong community a strong majority think that any display of pubic hair is tacky and in poor taste. Therefore if your g-string is too small to cover your pubic hair, you must trim or remove it.
The thong marketers have the perfect solution. They encourage their customers to shave their bodies completely, just like the men who model their suits on the Internet and in sales catalogs. Most thongers don’t want to go that far.
When I was experimenting with shaving parts of my body, a couple of my beach friends gave me some advice. “Don’t shave your arms and don’t shave below the knee. If you do, you won’t be able to wear shorts and t-shirts without getting into some very embarrassing situations.” I took what they said into consideration, but in the end I went for the clean sweep. Shaving had long been a fantasy of mine, and I decided that if I was going to do it I’d take it all the way. I soon discovered that living the life of completely shaved man was a lot more exciting merely having the fantasy.
My friends shook their heads when they saw me on the beach fully shaved for the first time. One wondered aloud, “How can you wear shots in public with your legs shaved like a girl?” Another put it more succinctly. He simply said, “You’re screwed.”
These guys are still my beach friends and I spend time with them. And to be honest, I actually enjoyed hearing their comments. Sometimes it’s fun to push the envelope and go where few others would dare to go. I get a lot of satisfaction from knowing that I have the courage to accept and then embrace a dare that had long been a secret fantasy.

Chic
If you are referring to men, it goes back to the male image. Listen to the masculine images that go with body hair.
- Hair on your chest shows that you are macho. - Pubic hair is a sign of sexual maturity and virility - Hairy legs are a sign gender identification
Having any or all (heaven forbid!) of these male markers missing is a sign of sexual dysfunction or perversity in our society. Since I’ve always been different I like putting these markers on my body to show that I am different. It shows that I’m my person and that I’m unwilling to have the herd tell me what to do.
Being shaved is a kind of liberation. Why should women have all the fun? It’s great to feel the sun, the breeze, the water and all of those lotions and oils directly on your skin. Most men never get to have those feelings because for them the price is too high. Maintaining images is a barrier to freedom. Shed your images and enjoy life. Life is too short to waste on images.

I am not being defensive, but thanks for that bit of judgement. I am amazed at the jugdementalism of the folks here. My question is why does it have to be like this?
O.k. so now you're being defensive about being defensive... I'm not sure what this has to do with being shaved OR being a nudist, but I'm amused!
Rather than hijacking this thread to judge each other, maybe we should start our own in the "off-topic" forums? |

Posted - 12/20/2006 : 05:17:04 AM I was always a nudist and never too hairy . But since i lost all of my hair everywhere i discovered how nice is to be smooth... And the good think in my case is that its also natural

Well be amazed! I hope you're just as amazed by the "judgements" made in this thread that non-shavers are not as hygienic as shavers.
Maybe its your diet? I know certain foods (curry for example) can be a body odor factor. But again that would be a factor whether you're shaved or not so I'm not sure why your so defensive about being shaved.

Posted - 12/17/2006 : 8:02:46 PM I've always felt neater shaving, and as a cyclist, shave my legs anyway, in case I crash. Hair on the legs with road rash would be a bad situation. |

My reply: It may be a medical condition. Have you spoken with your physician? If you do bathe with soap and water every day and your diet is not a factor, there may be something serious or not so serious that has a medical reason to your body odor.
Getting back on topic... One reason I don't shave, as I've probably stated earlier, I like looking natural, not having part of me drawing attention more so than the rest of me. I occasionally trim, but that's as far as I go.
